It’s to make it look like something evil (not actually blind). It is to represent that they did something bad when they haven’t. (I won’t spoil the murderer if you haven’t read the comic)
I really doubt that it is mobile friendly, it has movement (arrow keys and w, a, s, d) and it looks like it doesn’t like it.
