Very impressive game - especially with implementing the upgrade mechanics within a game jam! This makes me want more Yo-Yos in videogames as weapons.

The upgrade that slows enemies when they touched the string - I couldn’t tell if they were slowed or not.

Bro not only do I remember Pogs, I am the 1997 Pogs Champion of Salt Lake City

Sorry that was a total lie, I wish that were true.

But for real though, great game. I never played pogs but have been around long enough to remember the cool collections. My favorite pog is the giraffee one you included.

Very satisfying sounds you’ve included in this too :)

This is a very fresh idea for a videogame! I loved playing those arcade shooters in the jet pilots back in the day ( specific names I forgot ) but I’ve never seen it in submarine form before. I’ve also never seen it in obstacle course form before!

I think you have something here! I hope you continue working on it past the game jam :) I rec adding a slight time pressure on the obstacle course

I got Dubious x3 and I’m ok with that! ( Hand/Eye coordination aint what it used to be ) Gotta say I love the visuals and the music!

Saved my babe AND got a good smoochie at the end :) I love it! This game was hard but not unfair, and also the pixel art is fantastic! It’s like the equivalent of a yummy snack that I want more of!

Y’know what? I don’t hate the idea of this being a roguelike :D I will definitely let that cook. ( Also a million dollars couldn’t hurt ) Thank you for playing Zakichan :P

Thank you for playing SirNooby. Make sure to show your teacher your high-score for extra credit ;)

Thank you for playing Kumaroux! I was an MSDOS kid so It makes me happy to hear you say that :D

Yaaay fellow educational game lover :P Thank you for playing!

Thanks for playing SaltedByte - I hear you on the number balancing, I’ll be going back and fixing this up with a more official release

Thank you for playing Toasty! This one’s been rattling around in my head for years, it means a lot that you enjoyed it :D

Hahah apologies for the jump-scare! Thank you for playing :P

Thank you for playing! Getting comments like this encourages me to do more game jams!

Hahah thank you for playing - I definitely was just winging it with the design :D

Oh man I kinda see what you were going for - please finish this at some point outside of the game jam, would love to play this as a roguelike!

Tic Tac Toe is annoying as hell to program.

You tellin me that tiny chef made all that??

Fun game and great concept! I want more food varieties to try!

Awe man this is super ambitious - but I got stuck on the pacman level and couldn’t move!

Day 568

I have been serving sodas to an endless mob of what appear to be humans, though they all look the same. Some wear green while the more common wear red. They seem to leave me alone once they receive their designated soda, which I’ve discovered relies entirely on the color of their outfit. It confounds me but I must appease the masses.

He’s Watching

Wow what a great game, and very fitting theme for this game jam. Loving the “Ah-Hah” moments while playing, and the 4 day constraint kept the pressure up!

Small thing: Day 3 I woke up and it was already night time. Was this because I drank too much coffee?

I’m asking for the puppet and for myself IRL ;)

This game is fun! I appreciate the progression of it not starting impossibly hard. Will be playing more later to try and beat my high-score

Very creative concept of a game - I’ve never played anything like this! So satisfying getting a long combo :) and the SFX are ear candy
