The having a choice to pick name from the 100+ or so games i play i maybe found 5ish and now yours that i couldn't pick it or at least change it myself since the files where .rpy which is easy to fix and while i can already tell its not the generic throw away character a lot of devs use, picking a name is more of a bonus for those that want it and an easy "i recommend using the default character name or some cutscenes might have your chosen name" warning would be a compromise. and the [MC] is just a standard renpy command that uses the defined "MC" and displays whatever name it has since i did take a look at your code and saw you had typed out "Lyra" instead of [MC] which works for any character not just the mc for those with longer names you can use their version of [MC] to lessen your work load while also removing the risk of you misspelling the characters name as i seen other devs do way to often when not using that system.

in the end its more of a compromise some cutscenes might not say the players chosen name as they are pre rendered with text so a short warning telling players its better if they stick with default but its a forced you dont have a choice type of deal would be the middle ground.

I completely understand the focus on EP 3 as well but i also gotta warn if you are thinking about letting players choose i wouldn't wait to long as restarting a save might be needed and moving code around often break save files as well for those that don't really care, just something to keep in mind.

I really don't get the "no naming the character" why not just add it and say its recommended to use the default but for others like me that just ruins the immersion more then you probably imagined when making that choice.
and if its coming later in the game as an actual story reason should be at least said early as at least i have bounced of games that forces names on you before very quickly, having the game be in .rpa is making it more annoying then it worth to just fix it myself as well by changing the name in the code. But your story your choice butI'd recommend letting the player choose the name its a small detail that in the end dont matter much to you maybe but is massive for some players like me that rather play as me a character i can immerse myself in and not watch a character i got nothing in common with that i just happens to have the power to maybe make a choice here and there for them.
using something like VScode and changing all instances to [mc] would just make anytime the mc is mantioned appear as the player given name or default if they didnt choose one.

Trying to join the discord server using my phone give me an invalid or expired link checked their twitter neither of these 2 discord links work: https://discord.gg/niichan / https://discord.gg/a3HZsV, first one just says cant join the second one just says expired

i dont have any issues getting into any discord server except niichan's server its the only one i still even 11 days later still cant get into

the link here on itch and the ingame discord link neither works and just says "unable to accept invite" tried on 2 different accounts neither works

discord link doesnt work just says unable to join when it appears on the desktop app and clicking join

i was confused about it as well but ít turns out you dont acutally wait you continue the main story and it will unlock
