It's primarily story driven with a mini game between each level! That being said it is left very open to interpretation of the player, tell us what you think it is about! We'd love to know what you think and please give any suggestions for future updates :D
Keep an eye out for future updates! We want to make the mini game more exciting and add some other ones, as well as expand on the levels and story!
Thank you! We were really trying to get all the characters personalities through while not making it a slog to read everything so I'm glad we succeeded! :D
A few things we didn't get in was we wanted to have an Arcade option after you clear it, if you just wanted to play the mini game, as well as some audio, like footsteps and all the level background ambiences. As well as a little credits cutscene at the end. But we are planning on updating it with all that once voting ends!
Also thinking about making it into a full (Though still short) game! With a lot more mechs for the mini game to make it more interesting, some interactables around the world for extra lore, and new areas and cutscenes to explore!
I had an issue where the sprite would just disappear a few times after dashing, maybe colliding with a wall? I also could not find the bomb button for the life of me. I tried B but it didn't work so i hit just about everything else on my keyboard lol. I like the movement though, its nice and smooth.
I like the enemies only shoot when you shoot idea, makes me think of super hot vr. I don't really have any complaints (Other than how the heck do you kill the shield guy XD) . I think it could be really neat with more mechanics added for a little more diversity, lots of cool time based mechs or the like.
I like the concept a lot. The attacks were a little slow and post attack it took a while to recover and start moving again so I just kept turning into a punching bag for all the ghosts (BUT it could just be because I am trying these on my laptop!) Could definitely see this turning into something neat!
I love the vibe of the game, art and audio are both very nice. I like the gameplay too just a few things. I feel like there is a little bit too much recoil, after like 5 shots you can't see the thing you are shooting anymore (Assuming ur stationary anyways XD). If you guys are planning on working on this some more maybe some different weapon choices that have different levels of recoil? I would say the current one definitely feels like slower shot, but strong shotgun burst type of thing. Aside from that the buggy camera but you already know that lol. I was a little confused on the dash but I could just be smol brain. Does it pick a random direction to move in? Or does it dash towards the cursor kind of thing? I just found myself dashing into things as opposed to away a lot haha.
