Another purple rotating box,
moving randomly, like a fox
Financial stability in grasp
The bridge of choices losing trust

The box I made as a bridge is lost
in editor - Animated
Yet in game it causes a shock
spinning, not moving - as fated

Perhaps reality is painful
A virtual box disobeys you
At certain point you must leave the game
In life what waits is only fame

I wish there was more player input and more stakes - like a way to lose

and as for player input, there could be a betting system.

I got bored at the beginning because it feels like no matter what I do I always win I just have to click until I win. I saw a video of Juniper going to some slots place and she always lost yet those places are addictive as well, so my bit of advice is - don't be afraid to hurt the player a little :d

graphics are extremely good reminds me of old casino sites or idk I love it I really love it

music is extremely good too!

I gave a very good rating to this game. This is both the best game I played in this jam so far, and the worst. I will give you my honest opinion.

It's brave and really cool you made a tycoon game for a game jam this idea is 10/10 I really love the music that completely fits the casino.

cons:

  1. inconsistent art style, I'll be honest it's ugly, the pbr materials don't fit at all and no reason to use them, they are only good for lagging my laptop
  2. colors not really fitting, resolution of assets not really fitting (although it can be a joke in that case it's good, after all this is the very serious game jam) - try looking up color palettes or watch videos about colors in harmony
  3. you are too ambitious, the scope is too huge - beginner developer mistake to shoot to the stars. Bro you don't have to make THE GAME, you could've used the energy to make half this game, but perfect it as much as you can it would've been much better and less buggy. You even added multiplayer. It's both amazing and bad, too much ambition, your ego destroys the project if you want to make something smaller you can make it perfect trustttt I know because I do the same mistake all the time
  4. There are bugs but it's a game jam game so ofc there are, still for the record I mention them - characters get stuck in each other and wall and my furniture. The text over the character (tho it can be a joke in that case it's cool)
  5. lag, lag, lag, I'm playing on my laptop, I think you want your gamejam game to be more accesible, there's no reason to use shadows like this or forward+ or mobile or whatever you used

sry I give such honest and detailed review because I really like the game and I want it to be better and I want you guys to grow because there is HUGE MASSIVE POTENTIAL, you guys who made this are truly amazing, so here are the pros

pros:

  1. It's a tycoon game! LOVE IT
  2. Love the music! Love the theme
  3. The characters look funny
  4. The concept is mischiveous, evil, and it's tycoon game of doing evil this, this is a brilliant idea
  5. It's actually playable although I'm not sure how things work, this was fun to play. This was the most detailed and best game I played in this game jam so far, fr congratulations, good job!

Some ideas I have:

  1. There could be step-by-step introduction of how the mechanics work, like what's the gameplay difference between poker table and slots
  2. Some explanation of how the slots work. For example having odds at 49% could be a good balance because the house always wins in the end but it has enough short term victory for the casino players. I set it to 1% Then I win the most but I guess the casino players lose motivation to play again? And if there are more % then more people play them but less income but day 2 the motivation stays and then I can make it 1% and I win a lot of $$$? Is that how it works? I would've loved a little explanation at least in the game's itch page even if not in the game, but if this is not how it works, I think this is how it should, it's a creative idea
  3. more freedom in what furnite I add (although it can be good design if we're limited, I just didn't understand what input I as a player exactly have if I have a set of things to place down
  4. Less is more, make a smaller game but more polished and build from there. I get it programmers left but that's exactly why we shouldn't shoot high.

I rate the game 5/5 in everything (except visuals)

I recommend everyone to try this despite no web export this is a gem!

this is peak, you understood what a serious game means x) It's really chaotic and I love that, don't remove the chaos! I could finish the game after some trial and error I learned the chaos :3 It's so stupid game that I love it it's good, it will get a good rating from me.

Also little details matter I see you have jump buffering and coyote timer. yay!

just... I wish you added another bind for shooting gears like ctrl or x or shift or something because I dislike shooting witht the mouse. I also love that we can control it with arrows not only wasd, because wasd doesn't work properly on my laptop.

noo don't listen to the commenter lmao this chaos is not a bug but a feature I loved it!

it's solid! I wish there was more sound though! I like the little trivias, more such rewards would be cool. The colors are in good harmony I like the graphics

thank you a lot for playing! I love to work with 3d, even though I wasted a lot of time on stuff like hair physics instead of the actual game loop haha

there isn't more content T~T I ran out of time sadly to add more features. Thank you for playing!

It's surprisingly good :d

for those who can't go past the first menu - you need to press "numpad 1" not regular "1". My laptop doesn't have numpad, but I managed to do it with the on-screen keyboard.

beautiful art and everything, good work egriek!
