I gave up. Had to take a break, learned that saves in the hub are not working. And there's no skipping to reach the spot where I stopped, with the max text speed being to annoying to wait.

It's weird that this is not RenPy. No ability to rollback to re-read, the UI is clunky compared to the dated yet simple. No way to scroll past what you've already seen, or back to re-read something you've missed. I stopped trying to explore when I understood that a second playthrough would be a chore.
