Hey, thanks for the reply. Took me a few days to validate. Found another cause for potential error message, which might look like this:

$ Downloads/SternlyWordedAdventuresV47Demo.AppImage
Error: Could not initialize SDL video subsystem (wayland not available)
stack traceback:
    [love "boot.lua"]:352: in function <[love "boot.lua"]:348>

    [C]: in function 'require'
    [love "boot.lua"]:251: in function <[love "boot.lua"]:126>
    [C]: in function 'xpcall'
    [love "boot.lua"]:362: in function <[love "boot.lua"]:355>
    [C]: in function 'xpcall'

I don't understand where it's coming from, but some googling reminded me of a quirks I set some time ago for other applications: SDL_VIDEODRIVER=wayland - after I unset it, the game started.

Arch Linux, Wayland, Hyprland

Demo doesn't work:

$ ./Downloads/SternlyWordedAdventuresV47Demo.AppImage

Error: [love "boot.lua"]:251: loop or previous error loading module 'love.window'

Any idea what's wrong?

controls are arrow keys, x and z, if you're playing on a keyboard. Have qwertz? Be doomed.  One should really be able to customize those essential keys.

can you provide a linux build?

you can change that? You can set --resolution on the command line, but then, it's still very small, centered in the middle of the screen.

Additionally, it just bloated away itself: "Fatal Memory Error - Out of Memory!" while using ~3.7GB. I was watching the colony, growing slowly. 16:51 CPU time.

sudden drop, and I think it's steady on these fps afterwards.

Will post a screenshot when it happens, but I don't think you'll see anything suspicious ;) And I'm on a desktop, no integrated notebook solution. Also, it starts mid game (if it does).

the game sometimes starts lagging (experienced the first time in endless mode, but now also in the normal game mode) - can I help debugging this? Or is this a known problem?
