Haha thanks! I had a lot of fun making that animation :)

Thanks so much! I agree, there needs to be more of a challenge in the game - some kind of lose state more than likely. I appreciate the feedback! :) When I work on the updates I'll definitely eat some cookies.

This was a really cool game and had some interesting mechanics! I really liked playing it! The only downside was that it was very difficult (the ship's collider was barely smaller than some of the gaps in the first level) at least in my experience. However, the music, controls, design and UI all looked great! Nice job!

I definitely agree here haha. The game looks and feels good! But it's startling how fast both the enemies and the bullets move!

This is a really nice and relaxing experience! Collecting pastries while floating through the sky was a lot of fun, and the boat felt just the way you'd expect (a little chunky and slow, like boats are). The music definitely helped set the right mood!

The only thing that threw me off was the loud effect and heavy screen shake when hit by a cannon ball. It startled me because it felt a bit out of place with the overall vibe. Otherwise, a very fun and relaxing experience! Nice job!

Thanks so much for your encouraging review, I really appreciate it! :)
I'm planning on releasing an updated version after the game jam's voting period, so I really appreciate your feedback as well and think you're 100% right! I'll definitely use that feedback in my next release.
Thanks again for playing!

Thanks very much for the encouraging feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Thanks very much! I appreciate you playing :)

Haha thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it, besides the near-creepy smile :)

I actually did complete the game! :D I got the You Died a Hero ending, which had an awesome cutscene at the end btw!

No problem! I'll keep my eye out :D

I really liked the concept for this game! It was very fun to play. However, I ran into some bugs with enemy waves not generating, and the game not progressing. I had fun but unfortunately only made it to wave 2 because of that :(

Really enjoyed my experience with this game! It was a bit hard to tell when my bullets hit or didn't hit, and when I had been hit. Some sound effects for those interactions would have helped a lot!
Otherwise really enjoyed the game! Good job! :)

I really liked the introduction and overall atmosphere of this game! However, I found myself wishing there was a platforming level of some kind to continue my high risk escape across the clouds. As far as I could tell I was only able to jump between a few platforms and try to survive as long as possible. I wish the story had continued to a conclusion!
Really good submission! Hoping that this gets an update! :)

Thanks so much for the encouraging feedback! :) And thanks very much for taking the time to play!

Thanks very much for your feedback! :) Do you mind elaborating on what kind of "loose" feature would be an improvement? I'd love to come back and update this game a bit to make it more enjoyable!

Thanks very much for playing!

Absolutely no problem! :)

This is a cool take on a top down shooter meets puzzle game! I really like the concept. One thing that did throw me off a bit was that the bullets didn't maintain their velocity, so they slowed down with friction. That made planning shots a little harder, and wasn't exactly what I'd expect of a bullet, but it was still very fun to play!
Great job! As others have said, a very fun experience!

Thanks so much for your feedback! :) I'm glad you liked it and I appreciate you playing!

Agreed with these folks - beautiful game with some interesting and challenging controls. It would have been great to have a tutorial level of some kind to play around with and learn the controls a bit better.
I also found myself guessing at what I could or couldn't reach - some indication of where my grapple range was would have helped a lot!
However, these are pretty small qualms, the game was a wonderful experience! Especially with the great art and sound that set up your atmosphere. Great job!

This game had really cool story and intuitive controls. I really enjoyed playing it! The only thing that I'd offer as constructive feedback is that the game window was super small for me, and I couldn't find a way to make it bigger! That didn't stop me from playing it twice though!
Great work!

There is definitely a lot of love in this retro-style game! It was easy to get into, and my only complain is that it's very challenging to beat, which for some players is just how they like it!
Great job!

This game has some potential! There are some good mechanics and sounds here. I did find though that it was really hard to see my bullets, and I died very easily. After I died I also couldn't find a way to restart the game to try again!

This game is beautiful and has a great soundtrack! The only thing I found is that the missiles come in pretty fast at the start. It would be great if the player had a little breathing space to learn at the beginning.

This game has awesome graphics, wonderful music, and really unique gameplay! I really liked it :) the only thing that I can give constructive criticism on is that the missiles started out a little too fast for me. It would be great if the player had a little more breathing space to learn. Otherwise fantastic job!!

This is a really fun concept, and a nicely executed one! I really liked the music and sound effects, and the controls and camera felt pretty nice!
The only thing I got hung up on was that I didn't immediately understand that there was a double jump, but maybe that was my quick skimming, Great job!
