Thank you! I'm very glad you liked it. crmbl and I sort of had an 'aha!' moment once we hit our concept, and I think that excitement persisted as we got our own commands first working as well. Those introduction pages were some of my favorites to do also, particularly the title screen planet.

I'm glad you think so! This was actually my first time using aseprite, though I've had it for years. Usually I'm a traditional artist, so this was a bit of a trial by fire for me hahaha. I took inspiration from PC-98 style limited palettes and gradients, and did a lot of reference studying to get the hang of mechanical shapes and metal rendering.
I had the time of my LIFE hunting free range meat slinkies. I would love to see more of the MeatLands, like other kinds of meat beasts, or other incentive to explore the environment more. I also appreciate the burlap texture, I feel like it tracks well for a very 'meaty' environment, as many textiles would. Unfortunately, some of the other textures you provided didn't show up for me, such as the wires and the spaghetti itself, so I did miss out on part of the experience. There are a lot of opportunities for expanding and polishing this game, and I hope you do!
What an absolutely beautiful game! I really like this interpretation of the theme, it very effectively puts the creation of a 'strange place' into the hands of the player as they play. Our mycological world <3. I don't really play tower defense style games, but I would play this A TON. I can't wait to see you make progress on your to-do list!
