This type or order rush games are my jam! And the fact that the customers have their own effects makes it all that better. I would maybe make the orders about 30 % bigger and brighter so that they stand out more and you don't have move your eyes up and down that quickly, it could cause headaches during longplays. The voices and sounds are on point with the overall mood.
I think that this is a really cool concept that can even be expanded on, like maybe, disabling and enabling certain actions in certain rooms that have different colored lights. I found the instructions to be a little confusing, but that could be just me. I loved the lighting and the organif feel of the fireflies. <3
I think I could have added a little bit of cooyote time to the dash since it only works while grounded or when touching a wall, and Burrallo does bounce a lot when landing on a moving platform, that does make the dash a very precise button press. I'll add that to the next update. Thank you so much for your input! <3
Music and gameplay are really immersive the game gamanged to keep me on my toes. There's an unintentional infinite loop where the TNT launcher keeps throwing them at an already destroyed cart, I had no bullets left, so I quit out after like the 30th TNT thrown since there was nothing more to.
It's a thrown-backy artstyle, and I can almost see this same loop running on an Atari 2600, good on you.
OMG MY EYES! Leaving the red screen with a back arrow was not a good idea xDDD
I loved the little hat! Was it blinking or was it just me? Did I even blink once for fear of getting eaten by the zombies? idk. Give it up for that BeepBox and SFXR!!! Great use of the music loop as well. Maybe add some visible borders so that the player doesn't hit an invisible wall and gets swarmed by zombies? I'm not saying that it happened to me three times, but it could happen to anyone... <3
This would be great as a conceptual warioware sort of game, the artwork really takes me back to the OG gameboy. I agree with @keyystudios, and that there should be some challenge like basic Ai for the cow or maybe a rolling cylinder that punishes you for not placing the bullet in an empy spot? Oh! And also the music grows on you quickly, I loved the cute art style of the character portrait when explaining the next task.
The art direction is really good, I rather enjoy the minimalist handrawn artstyle. I found the gunshot sounds a little too loud for me, and that could might as well be a personal preference. The expresions in the character portrait was expressive and fun to look at. Thank you so much for sharing! <3
Yeah, I'm afraid that I made the game with a controller in mind and didn't add the keyboard controls until very close to the deadline. I think I'm gonna reuoload with the small chance of A and D for the light tilt, and left and right arrows for strong tilt (instead of Q and E). Thank's for the heads up!
The SFX for the end screen and for starting the game are some of the best I've heard. Congrats. Love the scrolling console errors. The feel for the controls is quite natural although sometimes it feels a little slow, I guess it does add to the limitation and a general feel of lack of control. Good on you!
