The art style really stood out. I wasn't able to play it at first, but if I blow up my browser to 170% I can see the controls and stuff. And I don't know if it was a glitch on web or something, but the sprite turns black whenever I walk, jumping felt really good and not too floaty.

io!!!! The music was tight. And the UFOs had a really cool charm to them.

Yay!!!! I think you're gonna end up hanging on to that 1st place. I started doing some revamps of the art without losing the sketched aesthetic that I really loved <3

Oh snap! I forgot to layer up the collision correctly xD

Really? I dind't notice a gap for going out of bounds! I'll look into it. I'm also going to keep updating it during the following weeks with a full story I have setup and movement options. Sooooo, keep on eye on it <3

Your achievements will not be forgotten, brave inexperienced skelli!
Thank you so much for commenting! I had the back side of the Hero character with the words that read: "Press start to kill!" but I didn't have enough time to implement it.

I had to do lal of the sprites in about teo hours because I was already late, but I liked it so much that I'm expanding the game as we speak, with the same art style.

Thank you so mucho for playing and for taking the time to comment on it!

Yeah... I failed to turn up the volume when the enemy is taking a hit for it to be more intuitive.

It's just 1 level for now, but the enemy keeps getting faster, and so do the backwards arrows xD

Yeah, since it's just a 30+ second game I wanted to make something that I would enjoy finding the best route for speedrunning. The enemy was going to be much faster, but the missus talked me out of it.

It is, by all accounts; ridiculous. I loved the racket at the end of the game. Took me a minute to understand that that was not a racket I had, it was the direction my ball was gonna go.

I love how much juice this has: the hurt I frames, the shadows under the projectiles and how everything shakes on enemy death. Meybe have different AI for each one of the color enemies?  Or meybe I didn't make it that far xD  42 kills was my limit.

Thank so much for playing it! It means a lot, trully. I wanted to see this project through and not just have "another project gathering dust in the corner". And yeah, I showed it to a couple of friends and they said the same thing: variable jump height. I'll definitely try that out next time. <3

This really well made, I tried stopping all data centers and ideas after it got a little outta hand, had to leave it overnight gor the cash to run out; i didn't work. My submission was the first ever game I've made. It was an enriching experience getting to lear how to do 8 bit (style) music, animation and proper coding; I did use gpt and asked to explain a lot of coding concepts that I didn't understand, and why I had that pesky indentation problem. I don't often see projects through to the end, and I'm really happy to have created something instead of having another pending project up on the shelve gathering dust.

Yaaaaaaiii! Thank so much for the motivation to see this through<3
