The videos are pitches for the game. IT would be a short video explaining what's in your game. So, a youtube shirt format makes sense

I would hold off from that just because the theme hasn't been announced yet and the art may not fit in the theme of the jam

I don't see they won't let you use it, as long as it can be exported in an executable (.exe)

From what I usually see in game jams, people aim for more demo like things.

They will tell us the theme when the jam starts
