No matter what you end up creating I'm almost certain every single player will fall in love with every bit of the story, I personally have so far, take as long as you need, I'm happy to grow up alongside this game and it might even allow me to connect with the experience's more. You've created an awesome game and story, so don't doubt yourself so much. It'll work out
