I can't help but wonder: if there were a comment section on the new site, what would it look like right now?

I can make an educated guess... and I can make another educated guess why membership/comments aren't a feature...

Proposal: put up a poll to switch back to the Legacy KK models, or keep the new KK models, and see who wins. It would have to be on a legit neutral  site requiring membership that blocks VPNs (no fake votes this time) with someone other than Arc handling the count-- someone ambivalent to the outcome. Old models Vs. New. 

Care to place any bets on the outcome?

I'm not sure how long you've been following this game, or if you ever supported the SS or Patreon (I've been here since Patreon) but I don't think you understand why so many people here feel betrayed--- this is as short as I can make it, and still convey a tiny bit of what's really going on with all this...:

Do you know what nearly every one of the OGs (most of the contributors on Subscribestar) wanted? The old art style. Guess what wasn't an option in the polls?

Yeah, that wasn't hard, was it?

Want proof? The dev went from over 70% of his original numbers (pre Patreon debacle) to 41% in the last year. (That is, he got all the way back up to 75% of his original numbers (relating to income) on Patreon with the Subscribestar, after starting from nearly zip on SS and now he's back down to around 41%) You do the math... still think he went the right direction according to his supporters? That's a -45% kick in the proverbial balls-- I don't know if that's your idea of popular, but it sure looks painful from here...

Going further: know what would make the 'rework' go faster? Using the models he already had. He had to change the mind control content; we got that, and were unhappy, but prepared-- and supportive! We knew he didn't have a choice. Same with the engine; "spaghetti code" and glitches, etc... changing the engine was only natural-- once more, most of us were onboard.

... until we saw the new art. Look, go read the SS page, if you think he's actually listening to his players. Nobody liked the nose-- it only won the poll because the old models weren't even offered as an option... it was a purely 'Arc' choice.

We worked hard to keep Arc on Subscribestar after the Patreon debacle because we wanted him to keep the art and the MCs kids... otherwise, we would have been fine with him changing engines and trying to take the game to Steam YEARS ago (he had a whole discussion about it in a live stream on the Discord) HE set the goal needed to keep it, and WE made it happen. (seriously, read the SS-- he even made a little extra 'surprise' extra bit featuring the MC reading a book to all of his kids in the nursery about the evil Patreon that hated children... and how the community saved them all) Now, he literally changed the face of the game, and with it nearly everything we loved about it. He forgot everything he promised us.

Yeah, I get that.... you refer to CK? yeah, I know he fibbed about that one, since I played it so heavily. All the scenes involving the MC and his kids were purely wholesome... anyone who played it knew that. Patreon just didn't want any characters that young in a 18+ game, no matter how wholesome/harmless-- which is really odd, since the natural course of sex is obviously pregnancy/children/family/etc..

As for my lineup of games: Crimson High (the one you called so prominently to the front of your examples) has nobody of ambiguous age/proportions, and certainly nobody under 4ft tall with underdeveloped proportions-- don't take my word for it, play it yourself. All of the students/characters have bios (kept in a record on your 'phone') not a one under 18. All are at least moderately endowed (hips, bust, long limbs, long, slender fingers, well defined waists). The "High" is a misnomer: it's explained in the story that it's an "academy for young adults". Again, don't take my word (seriously, it's a damned good story, besides).

Find a game in my lineup that has a character that fits the critera I mentioned in the previous comment (3.5 ft tall, undeveloped proportions, etc.) who's age is "ambiguous", and that's been sexualized. I'll wait.

Edit: that sounded more hostile than I meant it to... just me trying to impress how confident I am in my lineup. Underdeveloped has never been my thing... I have no issue with smaller, but there's gotta be something, lol... femboys have never been of interest to me; I don't make a fuss about them in a good story as long as 'events' are avoidable/skippable... but that's neither here nor there.

Heh, someone in the Superhuman comments posted the entire Discord conversation that retread has been snipping up for 'evidence'... it's even funnier than we thought, lol. The whole conversation is-- nothing. The link is a news post about some IDF trainees (military-- meaning 18+ in Israel-- verified) that got skimpy for the cameras and got busted by their superiors. LOL. A few people in the Discord made lascivious comments about it, and he accused them of-- yeah, you guessed it, LOL. If your reading comprehension is sufficient, you'll read that I made note of the fact that the dev intended to age the twins up, to prevent any misunderstandings-- and in this conversation, you argued it wasn't necessary. That Aura and Mare are not specifically drawn to look like children in the manga, and in the anime series itself? Maybe you'll try to say you were only joking when you said what you wanted to do...? As I've stated in MANY previous posts: Mare is indeed NOT a child. They are an anime character from the series "Overlord". They are portrayed as an Elf who's age (according to 'lore') is established as 70+ years old. That is not the issue.

The issue is that the character in question appears (as in looks like, in every way) a 10-12 year old effeminate boy that cross-dresses as a girl-- and that 10-12 year old appearance seems to excite you greatly in ways that are disturbing-- seen below in a conversation with (redacted party) 

This conversation is real, and if asked, I'll include the URL to the actual conversation (a comment thread here on itch) so that anyone can verify themselves. This is proof that someone who appears 10-12 years of age elicits a wholly unhealthy response from you.

Even the uninvolved party realizes this, which is why they intended to "age up" (to a mature appearance) the character in question before doing anything else. I don't care if she's a 900 year old vampire; child-like appearance is a no-go, and it's very possible that someone that wants to "destroy that elf bussy" might be sexualizing that pre-teen appearance. Not an accusation, but it could be interpreted as speculation. Either way, it's revolting to wish someone 70+ years old could look 12 so you could... egh, just disturbing.

At NO point in the game are any of the children sexualized, unclothed, or inappropriate in any way. Patreon did not want any children in an 18+ game, no matter the role. That is why Arc  was removed from Patreon, and switched to Subscribestar. The ONLY reason he was de listed from Itch was the hypnosis/mind control element (which is now considered worse than non-con, according to the payment-method-mafia) I was a patron/supporter at Vanguard level on both sites since about mid chapter two, and spent quite a lot of time on the Discord, as well. I have 4 full playthroughs for the current (Legacy) version of the game, but have stopped supporting because of the new format.

I have the last two builds of this game archived in .zip format, and can say with utter confidence that there is no inappropriate content involving minors in Corrupted Kingdoms whatsoever, nor has there EVER been. This guy is continuing to bait you; Just report and ignore... This is advice from a few different people that know what they're talking about, Soldier-- this person isn't worth it, and nobody believes them anyway. Don't get me wrong, it's satisfying to give them a taste of their own medicine-- but it's not worth getting ourselves in trouble rising to his bait-- which is probably exactly what they're after. 

 I've spoken personally with a few of the devs (not this one yet, but most of the others I've either spoken with on Discord or on Patreon) and they've told me the same. Time to stop feeding the troll, brother... he's made it clear to everyone in these comment sections-- devs included-- that there is no rhyme nor reason (nor facts) in his attacks. You're playing checkers with a pigeon; you know you've won, but it'll still strut around, shit on the board, and act like it owns the place... point is, if you keep feeding it, it'll never go away. Report, block, and forget it. Document (screenshot) his off topic/harassing comments, and email them to Itch support along with a list of their alts, and be sure to stress that the alts are clearly for stalking and harassing, AS WELL as avoiding/evading bans... and just stop responding. Give them enough rope, as they say, to do the job themselves. They will, rest assured... I again have it on good authority that they've done it before.

My SubscribeStar membership expires the 26th, and I've paused the renew... and I'm not the only one. At one point, we had the goal all the way up to 70% of his original number on Patreon... from pretty much scratch. The numbers have dropped to around 41%-- Quadrupling down seems like it may have been a bad idea for him. Sad that I'd like to say I'd go right back if he changed what needs changing, but the trust I had for his process-- his integrity-- dropped through the floor after the polls. That was after the 'we have to start from scratch', and then the 'just some minor changes'... and that's not even including the vast swatches of radio silence for anyone not on the Discord every day. Months of checking SS every week only to see the same 'art contest' sit for months. Now he won't even comment here on Itch-- I do believe he's afraid of what he's going to find. My trust level in the man now has me firmly believing he would sooner just delete this page and start from scratch, than listen to a single dissenting opinion, because he flatly refuses to comment here OR on SS, and there is no comment section on his private site. I don't go to the Discord anymore-- the vibe there is very... off.  Creepy, even. This whole thing gets worse and worse, and damned if it doesn't genuinely hurt to watch. I'm so glad I kept my original .zip, and have the KK cards.

I think the original, even unfinished, is going to be a hotter commodity than the 'new'. 

Editing this one, because my most recent comment  on this page (after this) is suddenly up for moderator review... "because of this community's rules" according to Itch... well, if this one gets deleted, you know why.

The changes to the mechanics (and a little story) I could handle, but the art direction... You notice that going back to the original style-- even just for the characters-- was never offered as an option?  The splitting of the groups for/against... all of it was to attempt to fool us into believing he gave a damn about the player base opinion at all. Sure, it's his game, but doesn't he want to make something everyone wants? The subscribestar blew up when he brought out the new artwork-- I can count on one hand how many positive responses were in that first post-- and those noses were universally reviled. All the toons he made so far look like they're in the Humpty Hump (Digital Underground) fan club-- Big, Discolored Noses.

Also, the new eyes suck... the shape is wrong, and frankly, they look dead. Yeah, I can totally relate to coming back to something that you want to feel familiar, but feels alien and strange... like CK from Temu.

It's more than that... he used a simple math trick to ensure the nose won: if 60% hated the nose, and 40% were ok with it, there was no conceivable way for the nose to win. By splitting the anti-nose group, as long as the pro-nose group remained constant the chance they would win goes WAY up... so make the two new choices as unattractive (a.k.a. still not the original KK face) as you can, and split the anti nose group neatly in two... nearly guaranteed victory (which can be adjusted as needed by screening out "VPN/TOR cheaters". The choice was never real-- nobody liked the noses except the new players, and the "non-CK" crowd he said he showed it to (I have doubts about that, lol). He knew without a single doubt: if he'd offered up the original artwork as an option, the "Nose" would be dead and buried.

This was perfection... there was NOTHING wrong with this. THIS is the look players loved.

Now they all look like 'Humpty' from Digital Underground... the eyes are off, too.

The new style seems completely incapable of capturing the look of the original; the bodies are not terrible (aside from the new proportions being wrong) but the faces are just wrong. This is Gwen... not that new style... it's like Gwen from Temu.

I appreciate the appreciation... We aren't being given much of a choice but to deal with it, as he has a ton of spare accounts-- so he just stalks our profiles and follows us to various pages-- sorry he's currently mucking up this one, but I for one refuse to hide. At this point, it's easier to just block/report/add another profile to the list. I've been sending it in to Itch support in a sort of running tally, and encouraging others to do so as well. It's all we can do. Report him for defamation/character assassination/false accusation, block all of his profiles, and move on with your day. If he starts targeting you, check out the "rules" section for a link to their support and email them directly-- and include the list of profiles, as it's quite obvious by comparing them it is the same individual.

It's nothing to do with the game; the guy flipping out right now has stalked Soldier09 and I across Itch with at least 8 different profiles, and chose this place to go nuclear. I think he firmly believes one of us is this clypsiphaya person. Please don't associate this trainwreck with the game offered here. He really won't stop following us around.
