I really like the artstyle and music of this game! One suggestion though, maybe add a mechanic where the player can move in all 8 directions (diagonals) or else it can feel a bit clunky at times. The idea is great though!
As you can tell, I am not a good game writer, probably left many holes with the "ploy" of the game (if there even is any to begin with). Tysm for the review :)
I like this game's artstyle but maybe make the background less cluttered, the gameplay is good but I feel like the cluttered background may cause some eye strain and will direct the players attention elsewhere instead of the main character/spacecraft.
Thank you, I have planned updates for both the ability upgrades after each wave and the introduction of more and harder enemies! Hopefully I will be able to finish the game when the Jam ends!
Very well designed game for your first web game experience! I suggest maybe adding rotations to the player sprite to roll along with player controls(gravity). Also maybe add game mode options for easier/more forgiving gravity options. These are just suggestions for core gameplay but you could also add extra background art, music and obstacles.
