No problem, I definitely appreciate that! I will for sure consider some better wording for the next release!

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

I definitely understand the concern, but I'm here to emphasize that I'm here for the long haul! Chapter one has been fully planned out since the beginning of the summer, there's been no additions or changes since then. I know exactly what the update will include and am working hard towards completing it!

I agree that in hindsight I shouldn't have said "soon" but the state of development was very different at the time I wrote that and I truly thought the update would be out soon. At the time I was working fulltime on Wildwood while I was in-between jobs and progress was going incredibly well. Unfortunately that progress slowed down immensely once I got a new fulltime job at the end of the summer. (As much as I would love it, my personal projects are nowhere close to paying my bills.)

I was finding it very difficult to balance time working on this and time working on my fulltime job. There was a period where I was testing different time management strategies to see what was most effective. It took a while, but I think I've finally found a workflow that allows me to make acceptable progress while still balancing my fulltime job and overall life responsiilities.

Additionally, development has taken a while because I'm trying to future-proof my game as much as possible. That includes code optimizing and building systems that I can re-use over the course of the entire game's development. Additionally, this update will be including an improved UI system that will be tracking all the game statistics such as your bond level with the characters along as hosting a gallery and other bonuses. This UI is being built to be used and updated throughout the entire game's release cycle so once it's complete for this update, it will require very little, if any, maintenance going forward.

Finally, I also tend to be a bit of a perfectionist, which has had the effect of lengthening development time. I get really obsessed with small details in renders that bother me and I sometimes end up re-doing a render multiple times until it's perfect. While I do think it's good to have an eye for quality, I also do realize it can be a problem and am working hard towards managing my obsessions over little imperfections.

My current goal is for an early 2026 release, with Chapter 1: Part 2 releasing shortly after, as it is already fully planned out, just needs to be written and rendered.

I don't mean for any of this to sound like excuses, this is simply an update on the current state of development. Hopefully my answer is able to address your concerns. I truly love working on this game and have no plans to give up on it!

Hey! Thanks for the feedback and kind words, I really appreciate it!

The 'black spot' is actually the text box. I wanted to make one that was unintrusive and prevented the bottom screen options from disappearing into the background. I've gotten lots of feedback on it and I'm planning to add an option to make it transparent for the next update (which should be hopefully soon)!

As for the feedback on the intro, could you give me more clarification on what you mean? Do you mean the part at the beginning where the screen is black and a faceless voice speaks out to you? I ask because I'd like to specifically know what you think needs adjustments.

I'd also like to hear more about what you think about the MC's thoughts being represented with a blue color. Why do you think it should be changed to something else? I don't disagree with you, I'd just like to hear more of your thoughts and reasonings on the matter.

Thanks for playing my game!

Yeah, I'm definitely considering my options right now and seeing if I can report them. It's been very frustrating, thanks for the recommendation!

Oh man that's really annoying that you're getting spammed with 1-star reviews simply because of a completely avoidable aspect of the game. I hope that the positive reviews will start to outshine the negative ones soon!

Wishing you the best!

Thanks! Same goes to you!

Haha I totally agree, but that grammar slip-up was definitely not intentional, so thank you again for pointing it out!

Haha thanks for letting me know! I proofread my scripts constantly and try to make them as grammatically correct as possible, but a few errors are bound to slip through the cracks. I'll definitely be sure to fix that for the next release!

Thank you for the feedback! I have officially made the decision to make the game into a linear experience, but there will be many branching choices and short sandbox-like segments, I hope you'll be looking forward to it!

Hmm I see... That will probably depend on the context of the scene. Some of them, maybe, others, maybe not. Regardless, those scenes are pretty far from where the story is currently, so I don't have a lot of plans for them just yet. I will definitely keep your request in mind, though.

There will definitely be lesbian/threesome scenes down the road, but it will probably be a while until the characters reach that point.

Regardless, they will be completely avoidable if you don't want to do them, and they will most likely not affect each woman's individual routes, if you only wish to pursue one.

Hey, thank you so much for the feedback! I really appreciate it!

This is excellent timing, as I just posted a blog post discussing the future of minigames in Wildwood, the gist is, there will be no minigames anymore, further details are in the blog post!

I agree that a render of the protagonist working is an effective transition, I was actually already planning on including these in the Chapter 1 release! Thanks for the feedback.

As for the horny stuff, I totally agree with you, I think that you will be very pleasantly surprised with the h-scenes in Chapter 1 ;-)

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it.

I've received lots of feedback on the game that shows concern for the sandbox and minigames and it has made me realize that they don't really have a place in Wildwood anymore. This will be explored in more detail in a blog post I have planned for later this week!

Thank you very much for the feedback, it was definitely not boring! I greatly appreciate what you have to say. To answer your questions:

1-) I'm not sure what the exact wait time will be, I am currently only working on this by myself, which makes speedy development difficult. The current goal is to release around 2 major updates a year that push the story and characters forward. Currently, I'm estimating that the next update will take at least around 5-6 months. Though that time may be sped up if I'm able to get more team members, or start making enough money that I can quit my full-time job to focus on this.

2-)I'm hoping for each chapter to be around 3-4 hours long. Each chapter will focus on a specific arc and push the plot forward, the next focus being the Dumont Mansion as mentioned at the end of the Prologue. Each chapter will introduce new characters until the cast is complete. Additionally, I'd like each chapter to contain at least 3 compelling adult scenes with the characters that are the focus of the arc. This is the plan for chapter 1 and I hope to follow that pattern for future chapters.

3-) There will definitely be ambient sounds in the scenes, such as furniture creaking. The only thing that I have not fully nailed down yet is whether the scenes will include human sounds, such as moaning or breathing. If I included these types of sounds, I would want them to be perfect, which may require voice actors, which I currently do not have the budget for.

4-) There will be no homosexual content in the game, it doesn't really interest me either. The male side characters in Wildwood are simply friends and acquaintances of the main character, and will help him along his journey.

5-) The bond system is intended to be a simple way to understand how deep your friendship with a character is. In chapter 1 you will see that the datable characters also have a relationship level that increases through acts of intimacy. This way the players have a simple understanding of how they stand with each character. Rank 1 is free for each character, but the ranks past that will require the player to make the correct choices. At certain points in the game, you will be prevented from viewing scenes if your rank with a specific character is not high enough.

I hope those answer your questions! Thank you again for the feedback!

Good question, there aren't any plans for the far future yet, but the current plan is to stick to mostly a vanilla, becoming a harem down the road. There will also be some light femdom options for players who are interested in that. Looking further ahead than that there is potential for options such as pregnancy if players show interest in that.

I'm pretty open to a lot of possibilities, it really depends on what the players want. One thing I can guarantee, however, is that there will NOT be any NTR WHATSOEVER. The idea simply doesn't interest me.
