I'm really excited for this game to come out! I will definely be playing it asap.
It'd be a giant plot twist if it turns out that Devyn is a yandere and victim of another yandere at the same time. 馃拃 but since that's pretty unlikely to happen, I can imagine two things:
1-Devyn is a yandere trying to get closer to MC, hurted himself on purpose to catch MC's attention and lied about the stalker to get into their home.
2- Devyn actually has a stalker, but it also gets bad for MC since the stalker now is hunting both of them.
