oook guys with the new update out, I finally managed to get a browser version to work. it's not the best experience, so you should still download the game but why not! enjoy! 

Not quite, the server stuff is a whole different story, they're hosted by ipod himself privately. However with the code you can make your own mods based on vcmi. 

The code has been public on GitHub since version 1 :]. Also, I recently have started potting vcmi to vanilla 2.0, so yeah I'm still working on it...
