Loving the game so far!

However, I think I'm stuck or missing something. I can't continue through the Bed and Breakfast. I've done the puzzle the person behind the desk gives you and the puzzle in the pot, but when I try to continue it says to talk to the person behind the desk. Is there something I'm missing?
