Yeah I'm having the same problem. Happens every time I start the game. It's a shame.
(Edit solved it by going in "User settings" and setting resolution and fps cap manually. Fps cap set to 60. Save the edited file and then check the box for "write protection" I'm sure just checking the box without changing anything is enough though.
