Fantastic story Ryuo.  Thank you for your dedication to finishing the project.  The end was a fitting conclusion, and I am really grateful for the experience.

Couple things:  1) Am hard stuck on a side quest.  I can't find the tree on "Amongst the Roots".  Searched the jungle, forest and anything that I could think of using the in-game hints.

2) How do we atart the halloween content?  Is it a new game thing?  Thanks!

Idk what version of Linux you're using, but if you install the "Bottles" flatpak it lets you run windows games VERY easily.  I just download, unzip and move the game folder to drive_c/Program Files/Games/ inside the Bottles directory.  I've had 100% success rate in running Windows Itch.io games.

I use Bazzite (Fedora fork), but any Linux distro that runs flatpak should be able to do this.

If you want help just let me know the particulars and I'll try to assist as best I can.

With how Patreon has worked with Paypal, Visa and Mastercard to target adult content creators, it might be a good idea to explore alternatives.  Creative freedom is a non-negotiable, the way I see it, and those of you who dedicate this kind of time to art shouldn't have to put up with this kind of targeted abuse on top of all the other stresses and pressures.

Maybe he's not lazy but has other life obligations.  You know... school?  A job?  A relationship?  This content is a passion project he makes available for free.  Updates would obviously be appreciated byt he doesn't owe us anything.

Largely they are passion projects (hobbies) that take an extraordinary amount of personal time.  I'm sure if you offered them $100k a year to work on it full time they would take that deal and there would be regular updates and they would be cranking through releases left & right.

We are not entitled to their work.  I'm grateful that we have so much content available.

Is Kingsguard still in development?

I am working on my own science fiction writing project and have been developing a horror arc for Act II of my story.  This was a helpful reflection on the storytelling methods we use, and a fun retrospective on some of my favorite movies!

I have always most enjoyed stories that play with opposites.  In the case of my favorite horror stories, it is the use of fear and despair to draw out the beauty of their opposite.  Sunlight can only be fully appreciated after a long night in the dark, or exposed and alone in the wilderness, as the light slowly fades away after sunset.  We need contrast to understand what we have.

Keep at it with Soulcreek.  Wherever our hero ends up on the good/evil spectrum, I have to say I'm enjoying the love story and worldbuilding you've so thoughtfully created.  This story has your creative fingerprints all over it, and I hope you can hold onto your passion long enough to finish it.

Individuals like this thrive on being offended, because it makes them feel like they have power over others.  Give an inch, and they never stop.

Keep making the art and stories you enjoy.  Those who find it not to their taste can play something else, and emotional vampires like this troll can take their toxicity elsewhere.  They are not adding anything to your community.

Atmac, you are not allowed to say you are bad at writing these stories.  I am in love with your characters and am fully invested in their future.  The years of love you put into this piece have produced a true work of art.
