That is very strange, i tried it myself doing it in that order and it appeared for me. Did you back out of the letter before going to the map? It won´t add the location if you don´t close the letter, thats how i made it.
Thank you, i will absolutely take a look at those games. When i made the Artifact games i was very inspired by the Carol Reed games, have you played those? They also take place in Sweden, but more in the southern part of the country.
