Looked further into it and it looks like RPG Maker MV games get flagged pretty often as malware despite not being so.

Really interesting game! I thought the 2000's internet aesthetic was fun, and the entire game was an enjoyable trip! I will say though, on the mug/cup page, there was one cup that was hidden from view that was necessary to click to progress. It wasn't until I opened up inspector tools and zoomed out that I found it, even though I had been at 100% zoom.
Really fun game! The art direction was really polished and I liked the limited color pallet. The platforming was great and really satisfying. I also found the dialogue very funny, and its clear you have a love for metroidvania games and MGS.
One of the issues I had though was that I really didn't understand how to defeat the final boss, and ended up watching the playthrough video from itch.io to understand what to do. I also ran into a bug where I took damage from the flame throwers and got boosted into a ceiling tile and couldn't move. I ended up restarting the game again.
But overall, really impressive you finished this for a jam while using Construct 3 for that matter. Great job!
The aesthetic of this game is second to none, it was a visual treat to walk around. I also found combat strangely satisfying but I felt bad fighting all the cute little demons :( Also was a big fan of the forum posts, there's every flavor of forum user in there LMAO. Won't spoil the game, but it definitely went in a direction I wasn't expecting.
This is a really great comic, and it also inspired me to check out the rest of your comics. Your stories really capture a specific kind of capitalistic dread, of going to extreme lengths to try and hold onto "human" traits (individuality, the want for love, the want for dreams, the ache for a home) despite it being denied at every turn. I look forward to seeing where this story will go!
(One major question that I had while reading Maiden Flight Infinite was why there was an expendable soldier program that costs $$$$ if they're going to throw away the person? Surely it would be cheaper to remote operate the planes? Just majorly curious)
Thought I wouldn't be scared but the minute the window tapping happened (I sit next to a window and was playing at night), I got scared and muted the site 😭 I think the form warping as well was a pretty nice touch. Tried to type "fuck you" in the textbox but getting my anatomy taken away from me was striking. Really great!
Really fun! I really liked the art in this game, I think the limited color pallet really helped draw my attention to what I needed to dodge. The music is also really nice! Is there a download link somewhere for that track?
With regards to the gameplay, I definitely enjoyed dodging incoming enemies, but I felt that the death boss on the final wave was a lot more difficult than dodging bats and stones. For reference, I did 6 waves. Also, my strategy was using a 2nd level to block all falling objects, and then increasing the height to give myself space to jump over incoming bats. But yeah, really nice game!!
Was browsing around itch and chose to play this game because the thumbnail art was really interesting and intriguing!
I really liked the story here, and the codex was a great addition, so I could learn more about certain terms without interrupting the flow of the story. The art and the music really helped elevate everything as well!
Thank you for making this game! I resonated a lot with it. I think mostly for me it's the deep feeling of being 'wanted' as a human being that I really resonated with, and the constant feeling of having to "trial test" what parts of your personality you should keep or throw away, while not realizing you have to be an interesting person in order for people to want to know you.
I've spent a lot of my time on social media, and have recently had to re-learn that in order for people to interact with the art and things I make, I need to actually reach out to others and have conversations. It's not the same as seeing everyone as a person to date, but I was seeing people as a venue to get attention and validation, which wasn't the healthiest.
I'll take what you said to heart, and try to explore, build, and love myself and stop pinning my self worth to numbers on a platform.
Also wanted to say that I really liked that the further you went into the game, the more activities you could do. It's nice
