You need to check out the pond where you can fish or something. Try a few times, I found the ruby there.

Is it possible to play the first game without Steam? Is there a downloadable version on Patreon?

I mean you do not have to buy it, right? Just play the public one and you're good. And if by chance you want to look ahead, you can pay. I think it's a fair model. Game does not develop itself ;)
