Jana, we are so happy to hear that you're enjoying the game so far! 鉂わ笍

It sounds like you might have hit a bug that I remember Jakob writing a fix for, but maybe that patch wasn't fully released yet. Sorry for your bad luck! Here's what I think is happening: the first time you enter the room with the Rainbow Golem, you can't hurt it yet with just your bow. He's a big rocky monster, so your arrows just bounce off of him. Past him, you get the bombs and then need to go backwards through that same room again, but this time the doors automatically lock behind you in order to force you to fight him this time around, now that you have the bombs. Here's the nasty bug, though: the doors only open back up when you blow up the Rainbow Golem, but if you throw your bombs really fast, you'll blow the Golem up before the doors lock in the first place, and then they lock afterwards, leaving you trapped inside with no other way to get out. It's not your fault, you're just too good of a player, and those bombs are fun to throw! I'll bug Jakob about making sure the fix for this gets released. Until then, the next time you play, try making sure you go all the way into the room first and wait to hear the doors lock before you throw any bombs at the Rainbow Golem, and you should be fine.

You're right that the game doesn't support saving yet, but you don't have to start over entirely. The next time you launch the game, you can pause it right away by pressing the p key, and while you're in the pause menu, press the down arrow until you hear "Debug," then press the spacebar, and then press down until you hear "Teleport to dungeon." If you press spacebar again, you'll start the game right in front of the entrance to The Mines, with your bow. You won't have the bombs yet, so you'll need to repeat a little bit of the area, but it will save you from having to chase down chickens in the Village all over again 馃槉.

You were already pretty close to the end of The Mines, there were only a few puzzles left, so you can also jump directly to the end boss if you'd like. Instead of selecting "Teleport to dungeon" in the pause menu, you can select "Teleport to boss," and you'll jump to the end of The Mines right before the final boss fight. Best of luck, we really hope you're able to beat the game, and please let us know if you need any more help!

Interesting ideas! We had been discussing a compass feature for the Divining Rod a lot early on, and this came up again from jaogwal. It seems worth exploring again. Thank you!

We will screen record our next session to help out debug. The game wasn't recognizing puzzle progress when doing the right things. After restarting, doing the same things as before now worked. A video will hopefully help.

I can finally exhale, knowing that you experienced the cinematic 鉂わ笍. We love Toasty and LBR!

There is so much creativity packed into this entry!

We did hit a few bugs in the game that made some puzzles impossible to solve until we restarted.

Careful eating those stones, you don't look like a Goron to me! So glad you enjoyed it! 鉂わ笍

Thank you for such praise 鉂わ笍 and for helping make the game as incredible as it is with all of your feedback and ideas!

Would it be possible to add a copy of the rules for the game into the game itself while you're playing? We accidentally started our game prematurely, and couldn't figure out how to get back to the rules. If you refresh the webpage while you're already playing, it just resumes the current game. It would also be nice for the ability to abandon a game and start a new one for the same reason. Thank you!

We loved the creativity!

Thank you so much for all the kind feedback 鉂わ笍 it really means a lot, and it's useful to hear what's working well so we can know what to keep focusing on in the game, or other games like it in the future.

You made it to the boss, that's incredible! Were you able to beat the game? Some players have hit a nasty bug during the boss fight that Jakob is trying to fix right now, but it's reassuring to know that some players are still able to get all the way through to the end.

I'll talk with Jakob about the controls. Do you think it would help if the sonar and lock-on buttons could be toggles, so you only had to press them once to turn on, and then press them again to turn off? That might be easy for us to add settings for.

Love to hear that you're enjoying the game so far 鉂わ笍 and I can help you out! Try visiting the bakery and saying hi to Rosemary, she may have some advice for you on that stubborn third chicken. Also you don't need to catch all the chickens if it's not fun, there's still more to do in the Village, and even more to explore in the game once you leave the Village. Kindly let us know if you get stuck again, I would love to make sure you're able to get all the way to the ending, since that is my favorite part.

Thank you so much! And for all the testing, seriously thank you! You are a champ!

Hi Kelsey! I know you said you pressed a lot of keys, but just making sure that those keys included the spacebar and enter. TTS could be broken but also wanted to make sure it wasn't an input problem.

It's a fun sounding story and I would like to continue it!

Thank you so much!!!
