I was waiting for someone to drop the "Media literacy is dead" quote surprised it took so long. You can say whatever you want about how well written Chika is and how she's so complex but the tragic prostitute/stripper heroine that the MC has to swoop in and save is not really original or complex. It's still too early in her story arc to tell much about her character other than she's a prostitute with a tragic backstory which isn't exactly ground breaking, I'm hoping future updates will expand on her character more and maybe I'll come to actually like her.

Another thing you and many of the defenders of the game are resorting to personal insults over this discourse, which I find more childish than simply expressing distaste for a character and her profession. 

The thread has pretty much devolved into personal insults and I'd wish the focus stayed on the game and it's characters rather than calling each other manchildren/losers/bitchless... the list could go on.

There's a lot of problems with the dev's statement here but I'll just address a couple that were bothering me
1. Sure there are people who only want pure virgins but the issue isn't just that Chika isn't a virgin it's that she's a prostitute. There's a huge difference in just not being a virgin and being a prostitute. 

2. Reviews and hateful comments. I'm not sure what the dev considers a "hateful comment" but from what I was reading most people's comments boiled down to not liking that Chika was a prostitute, some were worded more harshly than others but in the end the reason the comment section exist is for people to express their opinion, the same thing with the reviews people can give this game a 1 star for ANY reason and that's a valid scoring to them, if Chika being a prostitute sullied the game for them who is the dev to say that that review isn't valid?

Anyway I'm happy that the dev addressed the Chika situation even though I didn't agree with everything they said. One thing I will agree on is despite my feelings towards some of the decisions the dev is making with the characters I do think it's better for the dev to make the game they want to make.   

Rip Chika as a LI, I liked her before this update too.
