super satisfying and fun

haha, thanks so much for the comment! Rent formally stops at day 20 but this will be changed in the next update. Glad you were able to pass the time with the spinning !

This was a really fun entry for the jam ! The premise of the game is really interesting and seeing all the different items that spawn get sucked up into the tornado make for some really fun visuals. The song is also great, really funny and overall well done !

My highscore, world record?

this game was surprisingly satisfying and was fun, progressing through the upgrades felt very good and once I figured out how to reset and farm coins it was a bit better, but adding coins past the initial starting zone would go a long way I think in improving the execution. But there is serious potential here and for a game jam entry this was great! Well done!

this was a seriously cool entry for the game jam, loved the gameplay and the visuals! I think its really funny that at some point, I can invest about 40 million into my fidget spinner for a boost of about 1k energy/s hehe

dude! This was amazing! I loved the visuals, the style as well as the palette made for a really interesting and great looking game! The gameplay itself was also really fun, and the use of the theme was really cleverly achieved. This is the kind of stuff I aspire to be able to make one day, really well done!!

Thank you so much for the kind words ! Wendy's was quite tricky to draw, glad you liked it haha !

That's a good suggestion and one I've been meaning to get around to! Thanks so much for taking a look and for the kind feedback :)

Thanks for checking it out! I played yours as well and really enjoyed the cute cat gameplay !

This was a cool entry, the animations of the cat were suprisingly satisfying and smooth, and the cat itself was super cute, especially when it spun its tail to fly! The controls did feel a bit slippery and I had a bit of a tough time jumping around, but the game itself was well implemented !

https://itch.io/jam/theveryseriousjuniperdevgamejam/rate/4716092 heres mine, I shall return an equally serious and proper rating asap !!

This was hilarious from start to finish lmao, I audibly laughed at the *spoilers* wheel ending on the bicycle. The intro was super serious, and the main character, also serious. Each obstacle provided some serious startegy as well, I'd say it was pretty serious game overall. Nicely done!

this was hilarious

hey thanks so much for the feedback! I agree with your points and will make sure to keep them in mind as I polish the game. I'll also take a look at your game when I get the chance :)

Hey thanks a ton for the feedback and taking a look at my game! I've since added the ability to inspect your stock portfolio and their stats, as well as fixed the spin button UI. But the main thing has been updating the UI to not be so prototype looking. Gonna release an update once the jam is over, hopefully people get the chance to come back and take a second look :)

Heres a WIP I wanted to share in case anyone would find it interesting ^^

Thank you for taking a look at my game !!

Cool visuals, they made for a very ominous and super serious atmosphere. I think being able to hook up all the mechanics like the npc dialogue / interaction and the point and click movement is really impressive! Nice job !

same here, if only it were that easy and also guaranteed to profit haha. Thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment!

Very serious stock simulator: https://valgardg.itch.io/very-serious-stock-simulator !

I'll take a look at yours as well :)

Agree with others, very nicely polished game with great execution. Would love to play more levels with a bit more complex solutions and improved placing mechanichs like the mentioned paint brush. But overall feel is very solid with nice visuals, great job !!

Hey, thanks for checking the game out! Yes, balancing is currently a major issue, because as you said I also don't think its possible to lose but that's just something I sadly didn't have much time to do. The base game was only fully implemented on the day of submission and I only had some 2/3 days to work on it but I am going to keep optimizing and polishing the game post jam! Thanks again, and I'll make sure to give your game a try as well :)

ahh can only rate on mac for now, will come back when I can get to my windows desktop!

you can check mine out here https://valgardg.itch.io/very-serious-stock-simulator  Ill make sure to give yours a look as well!

so fair! I only had about 2/3 days to implement this and would have loved to polish it up more, but I only finished the core mechanics on the day of submission so I will just have to do this once the jam concludes. Thank you for checking it out! I took a look at your game too, really well done :)

This was really well done! Love the atmosphere of the game and the simple mechanics that make for a really fun gambling type duel.  The dealers model is really impressive and the visuals themselves are great. Made it to $40,000 before he absolutely fried me :,)

I can see that being a really fun interface for choosing upgrades ! Would love to see it being added and revisit the game down the line !

Ill take a look at your game, this is mine :) https://valgardg.itch.io/very-serious-stock-simulator

So SERIOUS!!! This was an absolutely out of this world entry. So well done in execution of gameplay, visuals, music, just everything. It feels more like an upcoming game demo than it does a game jam entry, and I have never really been drawn to this genre of games but I had an absolute blast playing through all the soundtracks. The tracks themselves were a blast, and djing as a cat just cant be beat. Seriously well done and an inspiring entry :)

This entry is very much wowowow! The visuals are truly amazing, both in looks and animation and feel! Details like the idle animation for the hazmat shopkeeper look great and really add so much juice to the games feel. The gameplay is fun and has a satisfying loop, although some way to upgrade your speed would add some nice progression. I was also able to mine the core pretty quickly after having only mined about 30 ores, but the game as a whole was awesome. Really nicely done !!

Really cool concept and great implementation! I struggled initially as similarly to others my spawns had me surrounded by cops way too quickly, but with enough runs I got the hang of it and had a great time. Cool visuals and can definitely see this game being expanded upon. Awesome job :)

Thank you for the feedback! I wanted to try a simple take on this genre to practice and manage my scope for the jam,  and was happy with the way it turned out as well :)

I'll take a look at your game as well when I get the chance

Thanks for the feedback ! I will give your game a look as well :)

I wanted to keep my scope small and manageable as I only had a couple of days of the jam to implement, but maybe I oversimplified it a bit too much. Thanks for the feedback!

Loved this and is exactly the kind of stuff I aspire to be able to make down the line, such a simple gameplay loop but so much fun ! Loved the theme, concept, and the visuals are amazing as well! Had a bit of a hard time understanding how to select upgrades at first but got it eventually :)

Agree with others creative approach to the theme and gameplay, also think there is definitely a path of expansions. Well done !!

Great job with the implementation and polish, an enjoyable side scrolling miner simulator 10/10 ! Would've liked more severance though as mining at 12000 MPH is defnitely a special skill!

Phenomenal game! Really enjoyed the mechancis and gameplay, and really good use of a simple concept but juiced up to feel superb.

A few things I think would have helped me during the game was some way to see the stats of my opponents longer to help me understand what stats influenced which parts of the battle, or maybe some hints regarding them as I found myselfe unsure why I crushed some enemies but faltered against others. Otherwise everything was very intuitive!
