Hi there! What a great idea here. I think you have nailed the difficulty aspect. A lot of the times puzzle solvers can be quite simple, but this one gave me a run for my money. It gave me Portal 1/2 nostalgia which I assume was inspiration for the theme. Controls were easy to use and marking the paper was not a problem at all. I do like the intuitive erase of the the lines, it just felt natural. I'd really love to see some texture on the white walls - lots of opportunity for fun easter eggs in wall paintings and wallpaper. I'd offer suggestions but I'm sure you've already got a plan! I think having more moving objects in the room/scenes can add some visual flare. The stillness of the level can make it feel very lonely. I really can't say there was anything I disliked, it's a great concept and a wonderful execution. Perhaps the UI prompt for putting your paper into the feeder could be enlarged. Overall amazing work!

Just like you we too are seeking feedback for and would love if you could spare a moment to try out our game. Feedback of any kind is welcome so don't hold back! Thank you! https://itch.io/jam/feedback-quest-8-indiegames-x-indie-streamers/rate/3773442

Hi! Tried out your game. It was challenging! I found that the drift in space was a bit hard to control on keyboard. The constant need to hold space bar to shoot could probably be fixed by just auto-shooting while in wave mode. At least i can hit CTRL to focus on picking up rocks while the turret does it's thing. The upgrade system is neat and I think there is some longevity and replay ability there. The amount of dust that spawns is too random making runs next negative when needing to fix the ship. It's not rewarding the player for playing well, rather punishing for the mistakes with not enough carrot on the stick to want to give it another shot. The losing of materials probably adds to it. I know this sounds like all bad news but with some improvements there is a good game sitting here. Overall, it kept me playing for some time and I I hope to see more from it as it develops.

Wow, great work! The levels were fun and had me thinking. I felt like i was playing an old arcade machine (loved it!).  I thiink I would have liked the placement more if the silhouette lined up with the actual placement - it seems to place it just slightly lower than the actual indication. The island and the sprite work was great. I think you nailed the execution and introducing players to the game's concepts slowly. Amazing work.

As a developer you know getting feedback can be pretty difficult. We'd love for you to check out our game and provide feedback were possible. Always looking to improve. Thank you! https://itch.io/jam/feedback-quest-8-indiegames-x-indie-streamers/rate/3773442

Hi! Puting my tech hat on for some dev feedback. There is a slight lag spike when doing things for the first time (shooting, spawning mobs, healing). If you object pool the entities you'll find it to be a smoother experience. The objects in game could use some world space UI tooltips when either mouse over or when the character is close to know what the item is about. I think you did a good job at keeping it horror-like with the vignetting but I feel the music is too fast paced for the theme. I know music is hard and it always is but you're nearly there! Enemies speed felt good. I somehow could never go above 10 bullets for my weapon even if it show that I can have a max of 20. Lots to improve but overall I truly enjoyed the game for a game jam game - understood your time was limited to get it all implemented.

If you have a moment and would like to check out our game, we'd love the feedback!  https://itch.io/jam/feedback-quest-8-indiegames-x-indie-streamers/rate/3773442

Keep at it, you're going great!

Hi! I tried your game and I have to admit, it hit a nostalgia spot for Adobe flash back in the day when I was doing my first project. It plays well with controls that are easy to recognise and use. I think you did a great job with the art on this one. It's uniform across the game and each scene feels like it flows from the previous. The side bars (right side) seem politely out of the way yet useful when you need to navigate them. I think you've done a good job at making the mystery feel like a mystery. The story building is a thing that is hard for people to put together and be interesting but you did a great job at maintaining the mystery. For the sake of the readers I won't mention any spoilers. You'd doing good work here so keep at it!

if you find yourself curious and would like to check out our game as well please come by https://itch.io/jam/feedback-quest-8-indiegames-x-indie-streamers/rate/3773442. We're looking for all the feedback we can get!

It was certainly the latter. I hadn't realised Tab was an option. Great work folks

Incredibly cute puzzle adventure platformer. I enjoy the arm mechanics - they felt smooth and easy to control.

Great concept. I really enjoyed the minimalist style. I think moveable objects could use a thicker border or some way to make them stand out as an element that is meant to move in the level.
