It doesn't explain it, but there's a cooldown if you miss that's shown at the top-left. I also noticed that sometimes using the arrow keys it just doesn't work and you have to try again, possibly the same with swiping but I'm not sure

Hey, this game is great! Pingpong definitely takes some getting used to, mostly just that there's a cooldown that isn't explained in the overlay when you're starting it. Only criticism I have is that we're not able to look at things again after using an item on it, which had me very confused about what was needed for something until I scrolled and saw some pictures
1. A little bit, you have to unlock her first lust level (I forget exactly how but I think it's the first white rabbit event in the forest) and get the reaper costume, then go to the men's bathroom
2. It lets you light the candles in the book store
3. Mermaid has to give you fish oil, then use it on the valve in the woods
