It seems that I'm late to the party, with the last update being 5 years ago in 2021 and the latest topic being a little under a year old, but I love this game.
I found it randomly while browsing itch.io, and I played it for a few hours straight. I love nuclear energy and physics, so I've played some games related to the topic already. This game, though, is very unique in my experience! You don't operate an existing reactor, but you assemble one yourself. I really had to learn how heat and pressure works, and I really liked this process. I don't fully understand how the game works yet, but I want to, and I'm sure I will enjoy every moment of it along the way. I just really liked experimenting with different designs and new parts.
I hope one day I can learn enough game development skills to recreate this game and tinker with it and I just like it so much. As far as I can tell, development has stopped, and the developer of the game has said that they don't know what else to add. I will say that the game in its current state is very good, but I would like a few things:
1. A top down view rather than an isometric one, but given that the sprites are all pixel art I can see how this would be time consuming if one had to redo everything.
2. A simple toggle to turn smoke off. Sometimes it can get in the way of other objects and I can't see my designs too well.
For main gameplay features, I'm not too sure. This game has an amazing foundation and sandboxy feel. I just want to do more in the game from how much I like it. Some nice quality of life things would be the ability to pick the building your mouse is hovering over, or being able to select a group of buildings and move them, and a copy and paste functionality would be neat too! I just really like this game, and I want to see more games like it. Thank you so much!
