🥹🥹coming from the genius himself thank you🙇‍♀️ it's always such a joy to see your games every jam, always one of the most creative and entertaining to play/watch from the batch :)) can't wait to see more from you Aron!

I'm really enjoying the font, it has this sort of playful, adventurous feel to it which makes sense for this gam

i’m always a sucker for png -> pixel graphics, it’s such a simple but effective way to make a game feel like it has its own art style and places it in a fictional context really well

there’s something that just makes sense about this game, i find myself thinking “yeah, that’s a poem right there” and it fits with whatever art is in the background, would love to know about the level of randomization in this game

feels like a game younger me would’ve gotten a kick out of, there’s a sort of young-writer spirit i enjoyed and feels nostalgic to me

this reminds me of the kind of simple game would’ve been the spinoff of a kids movie as an extra, like those dvd extra games, to dip your toes into the story just a bit

yeah it totally blends what it means for a game to be 2d and 3d, especially since i recognize the players asset as being a 3d player object, very creative use of it

love this concept, wonder if a visual map of the character/story sheet could be added in future versions? to really sell the map in mind map :)

i wonder, is each letter only used once for each option? that’s certainly an interesting technique

i love this game and i gotta say, the first page could be a whole game on its own- just a page telling the player to wait and they do and that’s the whole punchline…

this reminds me of a game made by an alumni GDAC member which was about being given the responsibility of watching paint dry and having time-based challenges and the goal was to last as long as possible, both have this kind of text-based meta-gameplay

I faintly remember playing text-based choose-your-own adventure games with an Indiana Jones-type vibe in elementary school and this reminds me of that, there’s this kind of old-school vibe to the aesthetic and and font choice that feels familiar to me

the dystopian theme of this game makes sense in a modern context in which we feel trapped by a political and economic system, it’s hard not to feel like a test subject…

something that some text based games are missing is the feeling that the game is alive and breathing and that is acheived impressively well with the speed and style of the text and the unorthodox manner of writing

love the mechanic of, seemingly, random item acquired from the portal, a less-commonly used mechanic in text based games - makes the player feel like their experience of the story is unique to others

love the itch page and the font both in and outside the game, gives that handrwitten- journal feel, very intimate, personal, and youthful

the way the text appears - slow and letter by letter - rly adds to the ominous, mysterious vibe of the game… i’m somewhat scared of what may pop up, especially with the spooky ambient music

i love how restarting the game takes me to a different prompt each time (at least it seems that way), incentivizes playing again, feels like i’m making decisions in real time

The music really adds rounds out the context of the game and completes the immersive experience, i feel like a true knight

Happy to find I broke the game first try LOL but I think the time mechanic is very clever for a text-based game, adds a sense of urgency that may be hard to implement otherwise

im unbeleafably obsessed

unbeleafably good
