I played this at 3 in the morning and I got what I expected (tears) plus a little more (incredible visuals and soundtrack).
The execution of the two-sided story is very well done. I don't have anything new to say about the story that others haven't said (which I'm in absolute agreement with, my eyes melted and my heart ached), so I'll talk about the technical aspects.
First off, the character designs are top notch, and the artwork in overall is just absolutely gorgeous. Character expressions are especially drawn very well too. The blending with processed irl images as the background is also awesome. All this, alongside the inclusion of one of the only Dali paintings I actually like (as shown in the preview screenshots) so thats a huge plus, but that's personal taste.
The soundtrack with it's mood and sound pallette are a huge complement to the game, albeit a little repetitive at times and I wish there's more tracks/variations throughout (though this is a minor issue and the short runtime makes it not that noticeable, it's just that I hang around specific screens and dialogues for a little while). Though maybe it's also just me REALLY liking the soundtrack and I'm craving for more (bandcamp upload when?)
So yeah, left me devastated and I look forward for more. I'm a shroomer now. Awesome!
