Sometimes, yes, when using the laptop + trackpad. No such issue with a real mouse.
It could do with an undo button and/or change to the UI. Several times I clicked a piece, changed my mind and clicked somewhere to deselect - whoops, wrong move.
Love it. I got quite far vs the easy AI, but those "zombie rooks" are utterly ridiculous.
