I dont even know what to say, that was genuinely amazing. I felt my own heart seize a bit, those scenes of self inflicted doubt and anxiety hit a bit too far home. I usually dont spend much more time than it takes to win or get a feel for the game, but this one had me locked in until the end with a sigh of relief as it ended. Like others have said, the connection to the theme was loose but the game carries itself through that.

https://itch.io/jam/theveryseriousjuniperdevgamejam/rate/4692625 - I hope you enjoy it even a little :) Im just grateful anyone plays it at all. Im gonna be playing yours and rating regardless ^^

Actually surprisingly fun once I figured out the mechanics, got to wave 8 before being overwhelmed

yeah idk what it was, but I definitely had a harder time against it, I dont think it was the hit detection itself? If I think back on it, it was more like I got hit more often, and harder maybe?

Simple neat game, the only thing I would critic is that sometimes the color of the balls (red and orange mostly since they are the prominent colors near the center) can blend it and make it hard to tell which one it is. Otherwise, a solid little game!

I really enjoyed the feel of the game and the vibes were great. Some way to upgrade or progress in some manner would add alot to the game and bring out the best of turn based combat, but other than that, a solid entry my man

This is a very serious and uber important game. There is no funny business here, no clownin around. I loved the visuals and art style in the game. The mini games were great to break up the gameplay of spinning and dashing through hallways and keeping things fresh. Overall I really liked this game!

I was immersed, emotionally invested, and devastated to tragically fall in the heat of battle. My archnemesis...Honse with strong bone. It is peak. I will say it was an awkward moment when the name thing came up I typed in "Honse" intentionally and didnt know what to do until I finally erased and tried to write in a random name and realized what was happening lmfao. 10/10 would simulate prideful descent again

Thank you very much! Frogs unite :D I appreciate you stopping by and playing my game <3

I had no idea what was going on but am frog and me go wheeeeeeee! I enjoyed bouncing off rock

eyyy lesgo

I appreciate your kind words. Thanks for playing my game! I'll pop by and give yours a play when Im home

absolutely haha  by the time I was playtesting I realized I needed more failsafes and less punishing areas but I was out of time to fix it and still do everything else

thank you so much!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your play by play. Yes that is a SpongeBob reference haha.

I've gotten some feedback about the difficulty and if I had a chance, I would make the beginning level empty of enemies and probably put a fly there to help introduce the player to the mechanic early, rather than throw it at them in a tense situation.

Again, I really appreciate you! Thank you for playing my game <3

P.s: I will be playing your game as well once I am free today

Thanks for playing the game! I appreciate it and please leave a rate if you can

Good gameplay loop with some funny writing. A+ Voice acting, I felt the emotional depth in my soul! The only critic I might have is that the game would be playing while the screen was still black from loading, so it would be nice for the game to pause during that. Other than that, I like it!

I appreciate it! Yeah its a problem Ive been trying to solve since the last day of the jam. I think I might have solved it with the last hotfix I pushed out, but its hard to tell because its not a reliable issue that appears everytime.  Thanks for playing my game! <3

I appreciate the review! Once you mentioned it I realized I really shouldve just removed those two enemies and let the player explore their controls and the physics.  I wont do it now because I dont want to add or remove content after the submission unless its bug related, but something I'll keep in mind for the future. Thanks for playing my game <3

I wasnt sure what was happening, but I was given a mission of protecting these little freaks and Im gonna do it. I loved the art style and...unique sound effects. Could probably do with some clarification on what exactly's happening, but I can tell this probably took long enough already haha

Absolutely loved this little piece. I want more levels! So much potential for scaling and very soothing to play with the nice bgm and animations. I'm Froggert and this is my favorite game on the citadel

Nice short little game, Ill admit it took me a second to realize I could use the arrow keys to move. Maybe a little tutorial or description somewhere for the controls would be nice. Other than that, I enjoyed the puzzle game part of it! Lots of potential for some cool puzzles. Great job for your first game my dude

There was a bit of lag when colliding sometimes, but otherwise I enjoyed it. It could probably use some feedback for the player for when they successfully parry (I know theres a sound) or when you win a trade. Was a bit confused on that part. I really enjoyed it overall though, nice concept I could roll with. This Froggert and this is my favorite game in the citadel.

Took the gamble at 50/50 to shoot the gambler. 10/10 would shoot myself again.

this is also my first game jam (and first real game). Been learning and practicing all the different fields needed to make a game for a few months now. This week was exhausting but I told myself I would make a submission no matter how bad it was. Im satisfied with what I came up with and my friends enjoyed it, which is all I can ask for. The feeling after finally submitting and completing was something else. My game is the only one on my profile so check it out if you like, but no need to do so. Just wanted to share because I felt the same way as you did.

Took me a bit to figure out the controls and what the goal was. Once the camera angles started coming into play it got a bit wonky. I like the idea of managing momentum and spinning to make it anywhere, making you think in curves rather than straight lines.

I loved what sounded like your own voice for the sound effects on the hits. Unique visuals and nice interactiveness with the flail for combat and resource gathering.  It may be due to my low DPI on my mouse, but I ended up having to flick the flail more often than spinning around smoothly.
