I'm glad you enjoyed the game, to your bug related issues when you opened the book I'm not sure why you could not walk, also the fatal error you can carry on playing and ignore the error the game will still carry on. If you would like me to play a walkthrough of the game and upload it on to YouTube so you can see how the entire game plays out I'm more than happy to.
Thank you for the kind words apricate it and I am glad that you loved the atheistic of the game and enjoyed playing. Unfortunately the development to complete the game is halted due to after graduating most of the team went their own ways but if it changes I'll ensure you get to play a updated version. That's a new bug I just tried it a few times I didn't experience the same issue you had. (I'm interested to know how far into the game you got or did you manage to complete it and get to the end credits?)
