great implementation, but puzzles are meh. you get a random bw image that make no sense, but then you're shown a colorful image that slightly resembles the pattern. doesn't work for me. feels like random noise.

Did not top the Butterfly, unfortunately. Can't relate.
Got me thinking what it did wrong. Guess partially it pretends to give player a choice, but there is no choice and you're forced to do things you didn't choose to do.
Also I didn't give dude the pills and missed his entire rant. Hence Maddie sounded quite random with the lost leg.
Finally, it felt much smaller due to the plot structure. Bigger scene is not always better.
A spooky story about morphing Leila. Visually reminiscent of Silent Hill, but doesn't creep you out too much. A very balanced experience for what it is.
As of nitpicking:
1. should include animal cruelty warning. 2. there is a small asset bug, the clock door hinges move with the door itself. 3. poor clock design choice. it confused me the clock wasn't an interactive object, so i went looking for other options, the only obvious option being a digital lock. should probably disable it. the problem is you can actually bruteforce the lock on the first day, so it isn't obvious it shouldn't be used anymore.
Ideas:
- vhs tape could actually show something. given it's labeled spotty, some happy day in the fields or smth.
- picture of leila could morph with every new stage
poor doggy
honestly, didn't expect such quality from this one. also it gets progressively better to the later levels, there are even just woah moments in the city, like frogger style car lines, that was impressive. the sound design is just spot on. some locations were a bit poorly textured, not sure if intentional, looking forward to the full version, if there will be one ever. btw you should add credits option to the main menu.
