Hi! I'm the solo developer of Night Audit, a psychological mystery disguised as a hotel night-shift simulator, and I'm running a free playtest before release.
You're the new night auditor at an old hotel. Most of the job is ordinary front-desk work: check-ins, disputed charges, room moves, reconciling the ledger. Somewhere in that paperwork, something stops adding up. There are no quest markers: every deduction comes from records you read and compare yourself.
Playtest page: https://typedm.itch.io/night-audit-playtest
(It plays in a desktop browser, no account or download. A full run is about 2 hours and it autosaves, but even just Night 1 helps a lot.)
What I'm trying to find out:
- Does Night 1 make it clear what to do, without a tutorial?
- When (if at all) did you first think "wait, that's wrong"?
- Where did you get stuck, and did the hints help?
- Anything that broke or looked off?
Short feedback form (3 minutes), or just reply here. Please keep plot details vague or spoiler-tagged.
Thank you, every bit of feedback goes straight into the release.
