Art style is so cute!!!

Extremely simple but surprisingly fun. Nice work :)

Fun idea but a little tough and the camera flipping back and forth when you reverse is a bit rough. I like the general game feel though.

Absolutely amazing. Best in jam imo. If you told me you spent months making this I would believe you, just such a well crafted, well executed and fun idea. Looks great, fun synergies and thoughtful design. Obviously there could be more but like, this is just astonishing for a game jam project. I would love to see a full game of this I would honestly happily pay for it as it is lol.
I do kinda see the point some other commenters are making that it's only kinda related to the theme, but I still think it's well implemented and I think the game is fantastic. Good job!

Fun game - good level design and I liked the integration of the countdown mechanic with the character design/story.

You did an amazing job with this - really fun presentation and attention to detail (stuff like being able to pick up your rank and the little portraits etc got a chuckle out of me). I loved the kinda silly twist on Papers Please here - it got to the point where I kept playing even though I was finding it really hard haha. Very funny, John Diamonds Pissed Me Off.

Super fun, really charming style too.

Actually surprisingly fun - seemed really simple but the great visual design and game feel of the single button mechanic make it kinda enthralling.

Nice idea and very impressive for cramming in the last 12 hours. Pretty easy though, would be cool to see some twists on the gimmick as you get further down but good job nonetheless.

I actually really like the idea and I'm impressed by how you managed to make it multiplayer, but I felt like the last level was the only one that really felt like a "level".  Still pretty fun to play with a friend and the movement was surprisingly good - the dive felt great.

Absolutely fantastic level design - you made some really creative levels with a basic set of mechanics. Some of the later levels were a bit too tough but I really enjoyed it. Great work.

Cool idea! Has a nice atmosphere and feels satisfying once you get the hang of it.

Cool concept and very ambitious - reminded me of a lot of flash games from about 15~ years ago. Great job conceptually but at points feels like it could be more involved, maybe more events? I get that it was obviously a time limitation though.

We made similar games! Yours is a much more polished, realized version of the idea though lol. Very fun and a really cool style/vibe. I like that you describe it as Pokemon Ranger-esque (I was thinking Pokemon Ranger/LibbleRabble when making mine haha).

Awesome - one of the best I've played so far. Super fun implementation of the theme, strong puzzle design, and a great aesthetic. Huge fan.

Clear inspiration from Downwell (imo extremely underrated gem). Very cool, although a bit confusing and kinda easy to get stuck. Still great though.

Thanks, I didn't realize the instructions I'd left on the game page wouldn't be shown on the jam entry so I've left them in the comments.

I left information about how to play on the actual game page, didn't realize it wouldn't be reflected on the jam entry. I'll repeat it here:

In this game, you defeat enemies by drawing and enclosing a loop around them. After a certain amount of enemeis have been defeated, you may purchase upgrades from the shop to increase your character's strength. As the game continues, it gets more difficult with more enemies spawning, and different varities appearing. The player has a punch move they can use to stun enemies while moving to assist enclosing a loop around them, enemies with shields must be punched before they can be defeated.

Controls:

Movement: Arrow keys or DPAD/Stick on controller

Draw Line: Hold Z or Primary Button on Controller + Move

Punch: X or Secondary Button on Controller

I only tested controller support with a Dualsense, it works far better than playing with arrow keys - I didn't test other methods.

Very buggy, but I like the idea.

Really cool, being able to make your own levels is great. Nice.

I think it would really benefit from a more sophisticated explanation or even a video example? I'm not really sure how to play it. I like the art and the gist seems interesting, but I couldn't really figure it out.

Awesome trippy visuals, very fun.

Extremely clever - when I was shot by one of my own archers it was a real "ah-hah!" moment. Super fun, great implementation of the theme. Excellent.

Fun and creative minigame collection, but somewhat lost as to how this fits the actual jam theme.

Super fun. Really disorienting in a cool way - also a great implementation of the theme.
