I love the originality of this idea - having the timing of the press dictate the action. It felt really good when everything clicked!

I like the art and story!!! It was exciting seeing the difficulty ramp up the longer you survived!

I've always had a soft spot for these types of 'incremental' games. Great choice allowing the player to just hold down the button. I don't know if I would have survived pressing the spacebar a thousand times haha.

Congrats on your first game jam! It was a bit difficult to play at first, but once I got into the flow with the gravity, it was good!

Controls were really responsive and tight. I love the minimalistic look of the game as well! I had the same issue as Kisame on Level 5 where I softlocked my progress by grabbing a key and then dying after pressing the switch.

I like the story, it's very funny. I think an improvement would be preserving the forward momentum when you do the jump though - and then allowing the player to 'cancel' it if they want by pressing again mid-air to go backwards. I felt it would have been a lot smoother if the player was able to jump forwards, but that's just my opinion.

Simple and easy to understand. I think a good improvement would be to have the asteroids spawn outside the screen, but having them spawn close was a good challenge! I couldn't hear any audio for the game though.
