hey, is this supposed to work if my desktop is connected through an ethernet cable, while the android device is on wifi? i can't get it to work that way and i'm unsure whether i'm doing something wrong or the software just doesn't support this type of connection

i think you just swapped your ROM file and the patch file during the patching process

you can use Marcrobledo's patching website, there, the top file is where you load up your ROM file, and at the bottom you load up the patch, then you simply download the patched ROM and it should work fine
