Got this as a gift, and my partner and I played it as a quiet game while our toddler slept in the same room, and I think we benefitted from that need to be quiet and moments of 'oh shit the creature wakes' - the mood is bleak and disastrous but with a thin ray of wonderful weird shining through that I, at least, can skim a bit of creative hope from - we keep going, even as we choose to lose ourselves in a world that doesn't give us much choice.
Edit: wait, this isn't where i post reviews!
