Hello! Glad you have interest in the project!
Thanks for the compliment on the silly concept of this game. Your art looks pretty cool! You can contact me on any of the socials I linked to the post. You can do a little sketch of what I want done, right now I'm comparing artists to see who would best fit the game style. Thanks for commenting, I enjoy any help I can get!
Hello there! Thanks for showing interest in the project, I don't exactly have Discord but at the bottom of my post I linked all my socials so if you have any of those, or a public email that'd be fine! I've looked at your work and wow, that's actually amazing! Is there anywhere else I can reach you? And just so you know, I'm also reviewing another artist who reached out earlier. I'm comparing styles to see what would fit in the game better, not whose art is better, but rather style. So, I just wanted to be upfront when I make the final decision.
Hello there! Hope you're having a good day. I was just scrolling through the community and stumbled upon this post, and I listened to the music, and it's amazing! Specifically, the orchestral ones. The sort of non-cinematic clumsy sounding theme of some of them, (If that makes sense). More specifically "Visions Fugitives No. 4 - Prokofiev". I was wondering if you would compose some of the music for my game. My game in question is a 2D platformer about a monkey, with, well, stick limbs. Goofy, I know. Relatively unserious story to add to it. I don't need any sound effects or SFX, I can do that. I'd love to have your help on the project!
Hey folks! You probably don't know who I am, so let me give a small sort of introduction. This was posted in the 2D art topic, I think this should also be posted here.
I'm TripEatsChips, Trip for short, a small indie game developer and aspiring artist, notice I said aspiring, I'm no artist, yet. Anyways, I am in search of an artist for my game. This is my first game, and my weakness is art, I don't have any sort of team, it's just me, and if anyone is up to it a secondary artist. While I juggle composing and coding and whatever else I may stumble across, I would like a secondary artist to draw backgrounds, and some assets as well. The game itself has a Flash esc art style, the kind you'd see in Fancy Pants Adventures, or any other old Flash games. Modern enough, but maintaining that old Flash like art style, if you know what I mean. The game is a platformer about a monkey with stick limbs, that's enough to say this game is a passion project, yes, but also a goofy game with a relatively unserious story.
Payment is negotiable. I can gift you a Steam game of your choosing, or however many. Other payment methods will be looked into if needed, which is likely. Payment itself is estimated off how much you draw for the game. Not much can be estimated because not much has happened, I've only drawn a select few of work in progress assets for the game, hence why I need a secondary artist. I know free labor is unfair, so there needed to be some sort of payment, even if it's small! You tell me how much you want.
Anyway, that's about it, comment if you're interested, I am in way of contact by Bluesky, GameJolt, Soundcloud, Steam, and, well, Itch.io obviously. Feel free to help on the project, I'd be glad to be lended a hand, if that's a term. Have a good day!
(This was the third time typing all of this out because my PC died the first time after writing all of this, then I accidently clicked some sort of shortcut that closed the browser, God.)
