Hello everyone!

I've been working on a cartoon-y FNaF fan game recently, with the help of a great artist, while production has gone pretty smoothly, I need someone with sound design knowledge to create the sound effects and atmosphere, now, I know how to edit audio, make sounds, even songs. But the thing is, I'm just not very good at it, essentially just the sound part of it. I need a hand.

I do not need a composer or anything of the sort, I just need a sound designer to make the sounds and things. But, if you do offer soundtrack composing, I wouldn't necessarily dismiss the opportunity, haha.

The artist for this game currently is LocoteGames, which, does a wonderful job. But in short, it's a two man team, including myself. So any help would be welcomed. I'm juggling most of it myself, and I really want this game to be the best to its ability, being a long passion project of mine, despite the actual development starting not that long ago. Maybe 5 months? Anyway, thanks in advance.  Any help is welcomed.

Qualquer ajuda seria ótima!

Hello everyone!

For the last few months, I've been working on a Flash era inspired platformer game with the help of a great artist, besides art, everything else in the game I am doing. I've used Clickteam Fusion 2.5. While work has gone decent, I've hit the limit of my knowledge in the engine, and with the lack of tutorials around, I need help.

Now, I will make it clear now, I am not looking for a coder, rather someone with higher knowledge of the engine to help me with it.

The game is a Flash era inspired platformer about a monkey. In said game, you go through levels, as in any platformer, and collect coins, er, in this case, bananas. Because what monkey platformer wouldn't? The game page is published on two different sites, now only in dev log. So, if you're interested, feel free to check them out. You can see the game page here, or here. All the art you see here, was created by the wonderful LocoteGames.

There are only 2 people on this project, me, and my artist. I'm juggling the music, the programming, and everything else. Which is my choice, but the only thing I truly need help with is the programming. In question, I need help with mostly the core mechanics, walking, jumping, attacking, levels, a lot of stuff. But the game is met to be small scale, and over all a 20-minute run time probably. And of course, I can program the easy stuff, like a menu, some of the core mechanics, and making the coins disappear upon collection.

There are more, but these are the main ones. And of course, you can contact me via the comments of this post. And, please, don't ask me for accounts on another platforms, it is ever so irritating.

(The name of the game is, yes, stupid, but it's because the game as a whole is a tribute to someone now gone.)

The Adventures of Butt Monkey - Dev log #1

Story and progress.

So, a long while ago I had the idea of making a platformer in the sort of Macromedia Flash style from back in time, and with that, I didn't get very far. But I did draw a lot of concepts for the game, of which I found an artist I was comfortable with, being LocoteGames, and did the art grandly, so I started on the game. I programmed the platformer basis in Clickteam Fusion, and with that, I have created the first three stages of the game!

So far, three stages have been drawn, the first has been coded.

Screenshots and "teasers."

Start of the first level:

Continuation of the first level:

That's all I'm going to share of gameplay screenshots for now, because showing too much more would basically be revealing the game with there being only 3 more short levels.

What's next?

With this, not too much is certain, but what I'd like to add are enemies, a fleshed-out story line, an original soundtrack, collectibles, and many more. While the game is obviously still in early production, more things might be added, some things might be scrapped. A game page may be made in the future in dev log when progress is further made, currently I think there is too little to make a whole game page, but it will happen however close to release it is.

Status.

The game's core movement system is completed. The player can walk, jump, and stop in collision.

The first "world" of sorts has been made, being a three-level area of a certain theme or gimmick.

The animations of the monkey in all states have been made, including the full art of the levels.

Audio wise the game has been given proper sounds so far, a soundtrack is currently being composed by me.

And that's about it!

Closing words.

The project is still in the works; more updates will be made when the game gets closer to completion.

With that, I have nothing much to say else.  So, keep an eye on that if that interests you!
