Hi folks,

we are currently looking for someone to fill in the spot for one of our programmers who quit the project due to illness.

About the game:
The Balancing Brew by MelissaL, Faba, Dj-EKI, Thomas Sauerzapf, Arluci, lolli42, Evita Murvai, Thomas Schmelzer
"Balancing Brew" is a 2 Player First Person Party Game submitted to the gamedev.js gamejam 2025.

As "one" server in a fantasy tavern the 2 player are trying to serve guests their drinks and food. Balance is the Main Element in the game. With realtime physics bringing the stuff to the tables isn't always easy, as isn't the seperate control of the right and left arm.
The Gamejam version is different, if you are confused while playing it.

We got an offer from a selfmade Publisher and Game Studio to continue to work on the game and release it on steam as a free game. Currently we have already finished the art and level of the game. The Core gameplay is already there as well. The Multiplayer aspect is half way through but we are bit stuck with this part and thats where we would need your help.

Who we are and what we need:
As a team of 6 germans now, we came together for the Gamejam last year. Please don't be afraid that we are all germans. We are happy for every one who would like to help and will speak in english of course!
Alright so, we are seeking someone experienced in UE5 to help out as a team together with the one left programmer of us.
The Challange: It will be an online Multiplayer Game with a bunch of code written by another programmer.  Nonetheless, we would be happy if someone wants to join who doesn't have epxerience with multiplayer but would like to get that experience with the project.

As this is will be a free game release, we currently cannot offer any pay or something in that regard :(

We are looking forward to discuss the project furthermore in the comments. Thank you for reading :)
Greetings

First of all applause for you making this game as a solo dev! For that it has a lot of content and feels complete. Can't say this for our game.. Also I love seeing games not overly using premade assets in this jam.

Then I can say that this is one of my favorite games in this gamejam so far. I love the cute narritive with the right amount of real references and the gameplay is very intriguing and innovative.
I only played one end but I already saw that there are more things to explore in the levels, might jump back into it to discover them.

Creative concept and innovative mechanics. I'm sure with more time it would have been really cool, tho it's very fun already. Just a bit buggy sometimes.

Displays the hell of gacha games perfectly!

Looks so cute

I like the setting a lot! And the game play is also cool

NICE ONE! Very creative idea and the distance system is so cool!

Weird but fun, best combination for any game!

Dankeschön!
