I was so sure I was going to have it out by the end of the month. I honestly thought it would be done by the end of the week. But now it's been three months and I feel like an asshole.

I ate'nt dead. Just... stuff happening. Lot of difficulty focusing on writing. Whole weeks just seem to slip by me sometimes.

I'm working on finishing up chapter 2 right now, hoping I can get it done by the end of the month. (It's been stuck at the "synopsis / bullet points needing to be written out as a narrative" stage for so very long.)

That whole scene is such a recently-cracked-egg moment. I love it. Reminds me of one of my few happy high school memories.

I started a new game, opened the settings menu to adjust sound & text speed, went back to the game and that seems to have broken something. I couldn't advance even a single text box.

But alt+F4ing and reopening the game let me continue playing. And it remembered the changed settings. So just a heads up to anyone else that runs into the problem.

A little bit. I'm not teetering on the brink of death, but still suffering a persistent fever that makes it hard to focus. Way too easy to lose whole days to a daze. And I'm trying to fend off the depression of losing a whole month of accomplishing anything.

Witch's Familiar was actually an inspiration for Familiarity. Premise really spoke to me, so I wanted to make my own take on it. (With an emphasis on cuteness and happy family moments.)

Though with the way my health is getting in the way of writing, I may have to hope that I just manage to inspire others instead. The rest of chapter 2 was supposed to be done already.

Yes. I've just hit a bout of writer's block that is making it take longer than it should.

There's outfit selection, which might have expanded options in the future. You can currently play a female character in a punk rock leather jacket and tattered jeans or a male character in a cute skirt or skort, depending on aesthetic choice. (That's not a permanent choice; you'll be able to change your mind later in the game.)

The player character is young enough that they're going to look androgynous regardless. You can think of the prologue dream mirror showing a possible future version of the character, not a set in stone one; the game's not likely to be on a timescale long enough for it be relevant. (In other words, MC's gonna stay a cute kid the whole story.)

I do want to leave plenty of room for head canon, so most descriptions of the MC are kept relatively vague. Open to interpretation and all equally valid.

As a transbian that likes robots, Tamago sure does resonate. (Also I love the name. Can't make an omelet without...)

What browser are you using? They worked on Firefox and Chrome, but I haven't tested any others.

The confusion's actually intentional, since the idea is that the player is in the shoes (and/or paws) of the main character, and they spend most of the prologue under anesthesia-like effects. That persistent brain fog, where they don't even notice that they have a tail for a while...
