I've never left a comment before, but this game has just plagued my mind over the last few days!!! it's absolutely incredible and a game has never had me THIS hooked.
(POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD!)
The art style in this game is so amazing and unique! it sets such a lonely, thoughtful, and wistful mood for the game and i got completely absorbed into the MC. The decision to add the covers on Jane's face until we find out about the Heart's Undertaker was incredible and so thought out!
I am like actually obsessed with the concept of this game, and its so fascinating with MC being a mortician and Chao's job as a toxicologist!!!! It's so fitting, how they work and how they fill that emptiness in each other. I also like how MC is not 'normal' (for lack of a better word) compared to other games, how they're not completely terrified of Chao!! It's a breath of fresh air and it felt right since they work with the dead anyway, so, that morbid curiosity would be there. I also enjoyed how it was so intriguing, i could not stop playing. And that MC has this sense of selfishness or deafening curiosity with Chao despite him being extremely dangerous, like it'd be worth the knowledge if they get killed. Oh, and the twist with Chao being a hitman for Jane! it was really cool and i wouldn't have guessed that.
On a side note; i am SO curios about Chao! i am so infatuated with how he functions as a person, i'd love to get him under a microscope and study him!!! i wanna know absolutely everything about this man. Childhood, how he got into working with Jane, his first hit, I am genuinely so, so so fascinated by him as a character. You've done a FANTASTIC job with this game!!!
All in all, this was incredible, i played all the endings in one sitting, and i will absolutely be drawing fanart of Chao and writing about him soon too!!!
