I've seen varied responses regarding the games difficulty, and I would like to provide, and invite others to share their builds, challenges they had, or general tips to give!
I will go first, I've fully beaten the Demo portion of the game as a Soldier, Pistol user. Using one weapon does gives you vital extra stats, the starting handgun can get you through the entire game, no grinding required. Assuming you are stealthing moderately, and taking fights when you can, you should have enough XP, and recovery items to progress.
- if your ranged, RUN! just run don't look back, never get in the red zone of a enemy, keep distance, they *will* touch you, and you will instantly lose your V-card on some of them. The Gym has a very nice sweat band that can make sprinting away easier!
- along with Ranged damage focus on the node, I recommend Focus regen while aroused as 70% of the time your character *will* be, combo that with 2nd wind for HP regen you can pretty much stay healthy all the time. *literally* powered by lust
- when you get the gym equipment, I recommend getting the easy level 1 training in each category, it adds up!
- Just keep shooting, running, and popping meds if you have to, you will win!
Overall going pure pistol is not bad, as long as your not in the red distance, you will have this in the bag!
The Senator: Melee unarmed, Savage (Nano-machines son!), I completed the Unarmed Strength playthrough, with my V-card (only had to save scum twice!). Playing melee, and trying to keep a V-card is miserable, but doable! if you don't want to be consistently jump scared by QTE do not go melee ever! but if you manage to over come it, the benefits are really cool! Getting the combo strike is essential, and truth be told had to do some grinding to get my skills where I wanted them.
-2nd wind + 200 hp, +4 (2% of 200) health per turn makes you indestructible! but a lot of enemies aren't aiming for HP, you will fall victim to lust issues constantly in Melee!
-You're damage does get pretty good comparatively to the pistol with proper strength training, and node skills, though it really does take some extra grinding, I recommend the Gym delve, the enemies usually aim for Hp which you have plenty of.
-If you are doing melee, you better be prepared for QTE's like no ones business, you will be targeted by grabs, and there is no current way around it, and a good amount of grabs instantly snatch that V-card! Though, if you don't care about the V-card, your struggle bonus will make it super easy to break out... as of 1.4v at least.
- Save meds for bosses, use 2nd wind, and the focused breathing skill whenever you can, again, focus gen while aroused is *really* good.
Overall I'm pretty sure you can Beat the Demo, and keep your V-card with any build, but Melee without a doubt will be harder than range, and I plan to sample the PSI builds, as I imagine having a high Libido could make it difficult
I'm making a short you-tube video about the Melee unarmed experience (I edited clothes on the girls for youtube guidelines), I May post the video in this thread, and *maybe* make more if anyone want's to see videos covering other classes, we will see.

In the recent update finchly mentioned something about a enemy assuming a stance at one point, perhaps there could be a Psi-stance you could assume as the player that would apply a elemental damage type that would affect your melee strikes, possibly draining your focus meter when you make a strike, or as you said a temporary buff. (I imagine it will be a ultra glass cannon build, as high Libido, and lust with how QTE event's work will turn every grapple into a jump scare of thousand input arrows)
You wonderful man you! If I had to say, I would love to take the Gabby-MK II or ST Patrol droid home. "it followed me home do I get to keep it?" You're dedication for supporting Finchly and the game is inspiring. What kind of help are you searching for? I would like to give aid the best I can. (My sprite work is awful)
Definitely would love to get more use out of vitality! This sounds amazing, I often find all my medical items practically piling up and collecting dust. (at least the demo) so far you can progress relatively quickly with the delves, a delves that kicks your ass, and puts fear into your heart is what I would love to see
That sounds absolutely sick! I love the idea of having unlockable starting specializations alot! Though I would humbly ask that there are some slight bread-crumbs, about what unlockable specialization is able to be earned, and perhaps vague in-game hints on how to unlock them... I am slow, and will 100% miss some. (Maybe some chart or menu that displays a list of question marks in Oracle's interface menu, that when hovered over give some tool-tip about what kind of actions you would need to unlock the starting specialization in question)
You got my attention the moment I heard "Mechanics", I'm a slut for combat stats. (as everyone mentioned, it will be a rather big thing to try and implement! that being said once everything's said and done... it could be great DLC or Content to be added after the game is finished!). I'm thinking it could possibly even be a starting specialization, that opens the paths for transformations and such. gaining special attack actions, abilities, and passives along the way... (though re-adding a different character sprite, or sprites for 100s or more of unique cutscenes would put the fear of god into anyone...) if it were to be added, there may have to be a one-general transformed model to use. Overall always happy to think about different ways to play a game!
Want to make a thread of regarding what kind of monsterous baddies you would hope to see in the future of this ever so lovely game! And make a nice lite-suggestion list while we're at it!
No pressure on our Lord Finchy! We trust your creative genius.
I will start first, would love to see some type of variation of Lamia, or Cecaelia, personal favorites!
Played this most wonderful Game for 3 hours, running soldier hand-gun (absolutely love the specialization features, Love number go up games) I've been playing for abit and I've noticed a couple of stats, such as the fetish XP, what does this do? what does the pink Libido stat do? I know it's a stat for the majestic gooner psionic wizard. it's driving me nuts, these pink numbers taunt me. Was there some description I missed?
Fellas I beg give me but a crumb of wisdom
