The Artwork is AWESOME. Very unique gameplay and menu transitions. I also like the tension when having to sustain energy. I do wish i could speed up dialogue but its not a huge deal honestly!

Didn't realize I didn't publish this log lol

The mixed media artwork is great (that dithering is so good too)! This is a great concept that can have a lot of replay-ability. The only thing I noticed was when I lose, and restart, the health UI stays at -2 indefinitely UNLESS I refresh the page. The internal health code still works though and you can still lose!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was worried about balance, but thankfully it works.

Also glad you like the artwork, a lot of time was spent there!

I like the concept, the only thing was the sound was so loud off the bat lol

Appreciate that!

Thank you so much, I've used your sounds and music for a couple of months now. My favorite pack 100%.

Nice last level, wish there were more. Cute character and mobs as well.

That floppin is so good, great game you have here! Very charming!

Working on updates!

I'm not apart of the Jam, but I really like this one. I love the concept, and it was a great fusion of both themes. Also, to the artist of the team, HUGE thumbs up on visuals.

Thank you! No that's the end of it!

Very cute style, I wish it had more to do. I would've played this to see how deep I would go. I also like the speed increase the more you pick up, which would be a great QOL thing if you did make it a bit deeper!

Very technically sound game! Even in extremely small crevices I couldn't get stuck which made me feel really comfortable with this game (if that makes sense). Also great use of sonar/theme! Awesome work!

Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoy it!

Thank you for the thorough review!! Boosting through the walls with the speaker and the hiding spots are very good ideas! 100%, when I make more levels, they will be things to consider when making them.

Im mainly an artist, so I wanted to do the best I can on that end to make things appealing for the player in some way or form. I'm happy to hear  that part was great for you.

I also tried my best to convey ominous dread (also thank you for the compliment on this, and from a horror fan no less :D). You don't know how much your review means to me! Thank you!

Huge fan of the art and puzzle implementation of the speaker and music! Kudos to the team, lovely work.

Thank you for this I am honored. I loved your game!

Wow thank you! I'm glad you appreciate the artwork, that's the main thing I wanted to work and to bring out tense emotions, with the sound as a support.

The puffer was forced to explore with the speaker unfortunately haha.

I just looked it up! That boss is actually pretty cool (if you mean the angler). Thank you for the compliments :)

Not much to say that others haven't! The art is my favorite part (I'm mainly an artist, so I'm biased a little lol). If you continue updates, you wouldn't have much to fix honestly. It's already great on its own!

This is great! I didn't notice the oxygen mechanic until the 2nd go around, but I kinda like that you have something secondary to do to. Keeping yourself alive as long as possible while also defending. I agree with thousanddeats, I'm surprised you didnt make a web build, because this can easily be a great browser micro game! Though the game closing when you lose is awesome haha.

The art was the highlight for me 100%, and I love the intro. Navigation also being the catch mechanic was perfect. I wasn't able to end it though, I passed the whale to get to the eel and angler, but kept having to catch them or jellyfish. It was a short jam so I get it...that being said, the game is fantastic.

Thank you for the review!
That was my biggest hurdle when making this, I had to adjust some levels to make it easier and drop some features because the lil guy would get stuck and I wanted to try and not make controls the difficulty spike. Definitely going to do a bit of updating on this one.

Great game, I love the 1-bit aesthetic! I was also confused about the sonar control, but you clarified in the comments that you need to hold down the left mouse button. I think this is one of my favorite entries honestly!

A trial and error type of game and it took me a couple of tries to understand haha. I finally figured out what to do after throwing the object at the water on the ground multiple times (oof). I think its because I have bad eyesight. I thought the water was just coming from past the top of the screen, I didn't see the cracks at first (Its a problem I have). This idea is very unique, you should be proud! :)

Thank you!

I'm glad its come off that way lol. I tried to make it with some tension if possible. Thank you for playing!

Omg...Getting Over It was such a pain when I played it. Now I get to relive it all over again in a different way. The only thing was I had trouble starting the game, I'm not sure why but it would stop loading around the end.

The visuals are great btw, everything works together!

The character/enemy designs are great (I think the turtle was my favorite). The attack notes somewhat sounding like a sync to the background music is pretty awesome, makes me want to click with the music, but its caused me to get hit a couple times haha. Well done to the team!

Love the main character's sprite so much, the death animation AND the floor tiles (I'm terrible at creating floor tiles). The music was very groovy, and the change if you get hit is also SO great! Only thing is the boost, if used can easily take you through the entire level while holding it indefinitely (it didn't do this the first time, but the 2nd go around it did for some reason.

I really like the concept for this!! For the first 5 minutes, admittedly, I was like "WHY AM I NOT MOVING?", but I finally read the directions lmao. I had to wait till this morning to try it, so I don't wake up others in the vicinity. Very unique controls imo, this can go very far.

Reminds me a lot of something from sites like Miniclip! I do wish there were upgrades to make the shark faster or eat more than one at a time for example. I really like the shark model and scenery though.

I really appreciate that! What's funny is I didn't even think to add underwater sounds haha, it could've helped with the atmosphere quite a bit too!

I really like the concept of the story xD! As said before, what to do with fishes was confusing because the first set were the only ones that seemed to interact with me. I'll come back to this game later since you said you will update it!

I like the art direction too btw!

I played this yesterday as a break from developing mine! I'm a big fan of the distinct artwork and very relaxing gameplay. Awesome work!

Very unique! I loved thinking I was getting close to a date and then getting omega rejected as it peaked! (sadface) Glad one girl accepts you! She seems pretty chill.

I did! It was very nostalgic :D

In love with this game, it's very polished and could be a very popular Steam and mobile game! The art is really cute, the sounds are calming and silly. I was able to understand what was happening without reading any instructions (perfect). I'm going to save this one! If you ever add multiplayer, I think people would flock to this.

Thank you for trying ours out! I just commented and rated on yours! (sorry for being a bit late)
