This game is genuinely lifechanging and without a doubt one of the best things I have played recently, to the point where I would be willing to go through agonizing torture just for the possibility of this game getting a sequel or even just more content with the characters. I fear no media I interact with will ever top this game, and I am right to fear this. I am in love with these characters, I am in love with this game, and I hope every involved in it's creations lives long, happy, fulfilling lives. Sorry for the rant, it's 6 AM and my brain is obsessed with this.

Yeah, my computer does that whenever I download an itch.io game, depending on your operating system, the way you get around it is different, I'd suggest just googling how to get past that message, no need to worry about a virus.
