Thanks for playing the mod!  The lack of shading is simply because it's a lot easier to animate that way, and the art style of the mod is supposed to be very simplified anyways-  Not using shading means that I can make the animations more expressive and a lot faster since I don't have to worry about tracking a light source or anything

I see the resemblance lol!  I used to watch the TV show they made about the Rabbids when I was little, that's about the only exposure I had to them as I didn't play that many video games at the time-  Still they're funny little fellas

Thank you for playing the mod!  Calloway was designed by my sister so I'll be sure to let her know that you liked him!

You mean you want me to post the art for the characters?

Oh-  No he's just a regular Sprunki with a weird tail and a robe

1. Their bodies are still intact physically, it's hard to explain-  Essentially, they're covered in a permanent shadow that absorbs all light that hits it, which is why their colors aren't visible at all.  Technically, underneath, they are still intact.

2.  The infection CAN spread from simply being touched, but it's much slower than being injured.

3.  Jevin is no different than the others, but since he's practically Black's shadow and follows him everywhere (as well as being the one who came up with the prophecy of the darkening in the first place), he was the first one infected.  He was fully darkened right away and then sent out to attack the others.

1. Uncertain, but there's a chance?  Once they're fully darkened they're pretty much blank slates that do whatever Black says.  They would be dangerous to approach and nearly impossible to contain so Garnold and Clukr haven't been able to do any tests with them.  It's not out of the question, but it's very unlikely.

2. The darkness won't spread unless the inflicted Sprunki is almost entirely infected, otherwise it can only spread if they are attacked again.  A partially infected Sprunki can't spread darkness to an uninfected Sprunki.

I don't mind answering questions!  In fact I enjoy it, it gives me a chance to share the lore and random facts I have in my head :)

(1 edit)

Sorry I didn't see this comment right away-  I'm happy to answer!!

1. Yes, Fun Computer is infected!  The darkness couldn't penetrate their hardware since it was built to be durable/sturdy, so it seeped into their software instead.  Since they're not actually corrupted physically, they can't spread the infection like other darkened Sprunkis can.  However, they can still aid the other darkened in catching victims.

2. The black in the bonus row is the real Black!  The one in the bottom row is supposed to just be a physical representation of the darkness and the way others percieve Black in this universe, but this world's version of Black isn't actually evil; just mischievous and morally grey.  The Darkening (phase 2) isn't canon and is an alternate universe where the prophecies that Jevin constantly blabbers about actually came true, but in the canon timeline it never happened, simply because Black didn't feel like it.

3. Okay so!  The infection can spread in two ways: either Black manually inflicts it using his powers (which most of the others don't even know he has), or when an infected/darkened Sprunki attacks an uninfected Sprunki.  Things like scratching or biting or even just punching can cause the darkness to spread to the victim.  Essentially, the infection makes them slowly lose their mind and consciousness altogether, making them a blank husk that wants nothing other than to spread the darkness.  The spread of the infection and how quickly it takes over all depends on the individual Sprunki's strength of will.  Raddy, for example, is almost entirely infected, but his determination and strength prevent it from fully controlling him.  He applied the chains visible on his body to himself willingly, to reduce the risk of him hurting the others.  Garnold and Clukr are working on finding a cure, but their constant arguing and difference in moral beliefs has halted their progress a decent bit.  They were able to discover that the darkness will clear up very slightly if an infected Sprunki is exposed to light for an extended period of time: they found this out after closing an almost entirely infected Oren in a room with Mr. Sun, whose light was just bright enough to make some of Oren's color return, but not bright enough to make a real difference.

I've been trying to squash that bug for a while now-  I've got an update in the works, a pretty big one, and I'm hoping I can find a fix for this bug in this upcoming update.  It's strange how it applies to everyone in the bottom row apart from Mr. Sun...  🤔

Either way, thanks so much for the feedback!!

Sorry I replied late-  Sure, I'd love to be friends!

Yes!  They're not the highest quality but I'm happy with them, I've been using BeepBox for years now so it's what I was most experienced with

I figured this would come up-  So in the lore of this mod, Lime is crazy because Black makes him see things that aren't really there on purpose (because Lime has seen too much), and in phase 2 Black isn't hiding anything anymore and doesn't care if Lime tells everyone what he saw since he thinks he already won.  Lime knew about Black's motives and power the whole time, and all the hallucinations strengthened his mind in a way?  Essentially, he's grown resistant to Black's darkness/infection because his mind is used to Black's tricks and such, if that makes any sense-  He's not immune but it's harder for him to get infected.  Garnold only got partially infected because he was protecting Clukr, otherwise he would probably be completely fine just like Lime.

Also tysm for checking out the mod!
