  • The Chart app is now ThreadMap 1.2, a 2004-style freeware mind-map. Cards are nodes you can drag around, and Tidy puts them back.
  •  Strings: each one has its verb printed on the card. You drag from the card’s pin to a name on another card, and only one string can join any two cards. A locked string turns red and shows its verb.
  •  Monday’s story panel: one paragraph per night that fills in as its facts lock.
  • Folding: a fully locked card folds down to one line, and you can open it again.
  • Hannah on weIRC: hannah_k sits idle in #millbrook, and her away message ("prayer watch ~*~") goes up the minute the Watch car parks. Double-click her to whisper her. She answers the next night, asks you to flash your flashlight at her car to prove it's you, and writes back a couple more times as she comes to trust you.
  •  weIRC whispers: double-clicking a name in the nick list can open a private message, and the server answers with their away message if they're away.
  •  weIRC private conversations: they can arrive on any night once their conditions are met.
  •  Emails can arrive at a set time on a set night.
  •  The HOA's "A Quiet Night on Harrow!" email now arrives in your inbox on night 4 at 11:58 PM.

Changed

  •  Nightly goals are now “Dana’s paragraph” instead of “lock in N boxes”. The last night also needs the whole map.
  •  Locking checks itself after every change, so the Check button is gone. The rule is the same: 3 or more new answers right at once.
  •  Dana’s emails and the end card now say ThreadMap and “map” instead of chart, wall and boxes.
  •  The horde hides now. Sightings are half-hidden: around the shed, the top of a head over the back fence, behind a tree across the street.
  •  Horde, nights 1-3: spotted or approached, one slips away.
  •  Horde, night 4 on: they stay quiet until spotted. If you're outside, it hunts you. If you're inside, it comes to the nearest door and tries it.
  •  You can spot the horde through window glass and open blinds, but not through closed blinds.
  •  Paul now disappears on night 3, just after his last chat. He no longer calls on night 4. Dana's note, Rosa's email and the radio report all moved to night 4.
  •  Rick no longer tells you about the HOA cameras. His PSA is about phone-line noise and someone asking who lives at 411.
  •  Small line edits to Rosa's chat and to the Ledger's 1991 editor's note.
  •  Hannah's journal is rewritten.
  •  Deputy Drury's car ride is rewritten: folksier and less direct, with three choices along the way.
  •  Lydia Greaves' courtesy visit happens only once.
  •  The 3:15 shaking now lasts 12 in-game minutes.
  •  The radio DJ's shout-outs are louder.

Fixed

  •  Shining the flashlight at the crawlspace vent through the house walls (e.g. from the office) stopped the breathing.
  •  The vent's glow lit up the inside of the house.
  •  A horde member caught in the flashlight against a fence could get stuck. Leaving members could also stand in plain sight at the fence.
  •  Being woken right after lying down left the screen dark.
  •  Pedestrians' "dazzled" animation repeated.
  •  Bold text had holes in the letters.

411 Harrow Lane: v0.2.0

New

  • Talk to whoever knocks. Answer the door and chat with the neighbours. Over 20 conversations change with how suspicious the Prayer Watch is of you, how unsettling your visitor is, and what you said to the last one. Your answers can calm the Watch or make things worse, give you leads, or keep a visitor on your step. Choose carefully who you let in.
  • Something else is out there. Figures watch the house at night: at the back of the yard, across the street, at your windows, trying your back door. Later in the week, they stop just watching.
  • Light is your best defence. Keep your flashlight on them, and keep your rooms lit.
  • A lock for the back door. It's locked at the start of every night. If you go out, lock it again when you come back in.
  • The breaker panel has moved to the outside of the backyard shed. When the power goes, you'll have to cross the yard in the dark.
  • New faces: the church women now have their own look: dress, headband and cat-eye glasses.

Changed

  • The evidence wall has been reworked. Cards now go up as you find the evidence, instead of everything showing from the start. Boxes are labelled with clues from the documents rather than hints. The Board of Ten has numbered seats, families are filed under their home addresses, and the box count no longer gives away how much is left.
  • Story pacing: the week now runs Sunday, October 24 to Saturday, October 30. Nightly chart targets were adjusted to match.
  • Smoother animation: walkers' arms swing naturally instead of clutching an invisible notebook, the deputy's note-taking was redone, and hands now grip what they hold.

Fixed

  • Shots from the revolver now hit what you aim at. Before, bullets could stop short at a person's invisible collision box.
  • The bookkeeper's grin no longer clips through her neck when it gets wide.
