Thank you Chairian !

Yes the GET OUT screen freezes in browser as it's trying to load the music. It works better when running the game natively, but it's still an issue. With more time, I would've fixed it. But something to improve for next time! Thank you for your feedback :)

Thank you so much for reviewing the game and posting a video of it! It was really interesting seeing your playthrough as the one thing I wish I did more of during the project's development was playtesting.

Yes there are some issues with slope collisions. I didn't think about shooting upwards, that could be a good addition. I'm glad you reached the end. I've received some feedback on maybe extending the timer, as I think it's very difficult to beat first try, which I need to fix.

All in all, glad you enjoyed the game! Thank you also for the constructive feedback :)

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. Have you managed to escape yet? :)

Thank you :)

And good point, it's hard to see where the doorways are when playing in the browser because of the black background blending with the borders. Maybe I could add a glow at the edge of the screen where the doorways are, using a lighter colour from the palette?

Thank you !! Yes I should've maybe hinted at how the chests are opened, as a few people have asked this... maybe I can add it after the voting period ends! Glad you enjoyed the game :)

Thank you !! :)

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the level layout. Professionally, I'm a programmer, so level design was new territory for me!

Yes I was worried the dithering would make it harder to see. Maybe I should add an option to disable it. Thank you for the feedback :)

Brilliant little game! Quick and simple to learn, yet super addictive! The overall presentation is excellent. The graphics and audio would fit right at home on a gameboy. The movement is responsive and digging is satisfying. Good job :)

Thank you! Glad you had fun :)

This could be on for a winner! The presentation is 10/10. Some of the best artwork I've seen from any submission. On top of that, the gameplay is simple yet clever. The main mechanic makes for some brilliant little puzzles. Well done team :)

A simple yet addictive puzzle platformer! I love the idea of using your collected coins as projectiles. It creates a risk reward system where you have to think about how much of your score you're willing to sacrifice. Great entry, well done :)

This game has the most character and charm of any submission I've played, by far! Worf is such a well-written, funny and loveable character. "What even are you?" "I'm level 2!" Brilliant xD

On top of that the gameplay is simple yet addictive. Very clever rock-paper-scissors style combat system. Can't believe how much polish went into this in 10 days.

Do you plan on continuing the game's development after the jam? I'd love to see more! Either way, you've gained a new follower. Brilliant entry :)

Brilliant little game that would fit right at home on a real Gameboy! The art, colours and overall presentation is clean and eye-catching.

The gameplay is simple and addictive, with lots of room to build upon with new mechanics and progression. Maybe you could add some way of restoring your fire? More stage hazards would be cool too! Do you plan on continuing its development after the jam?

Glad you liked the palette swap feature! It was really fun to setup and pick some fun palettes to use.

The original palette is our favourite too as it's designed to help you spot gold and traps more clearly :)

Haha thanks! It's definitely challenging - maybe a little too much xD

Did you manage to find the ring and escape in time?

Thanks for the feedback! Really glad you enjoyed it :)

Thanks! Ye we really focused on making the combat satisfying, even though it's simple :)

And I'm glad you like the character sprite! I'm a programmer first so I'm quite new to pixel art. That means a lot :)

Thank you!

Yep it freezes after collecting the snake ring as it's loading the cave collapsing particle system. I need to optimise that. Thank you for your feedback! I'll get it fixed after the jam :)

This could be on for a winner! The core lockpicking mechanic is genius and the progression system is perfect, being able to buy more advanced lockpicks. There's a real sense of mastery to the gameplay. I love that when you get caught, you have to lockpick your way out of jail. Nice touch! Also, each area has a distinct feeling with it's own look and music. Overall, fantastic entry, well done! :)

Genuinely incredible game. Can't believe how polished it is for a 10 day project! Everything from the art to the music and simple yet addictive gameplay loop is top notch. This could be on for a winner!

Excellent art and overall presentation. The gameplay is quite simple, but I think there's lots of room to expand on this idea. I like that you've made a physical manual with the coin values but I also think it would be good if you could see the values in-game. It's fun, it's charming and overall an amazing entry. Well done!

A very cute and charming game. Goldie has so much character, and the balloon stacking mechanic creates some interesting platforming gameplay. I feel like this could be expanded into a brilliant puzzle platformer. Could use some music too!

Thank you so much for the feedback! We put a lot of effort into the presentation :)
Glad you enjoyed the escape sequence too! Did you make it out?

Yep, with more time I'd love to polish up the movement and collision. A level progression system and unlockable shortcuts was on my TODO list too!

The presentation is top notch. Art, music and even screen transitions are incredible.

It took me a few tries to understand the gameplay and what I was doing. But once I'd worked it out, it's pretty fun!

Nice entry :)

Thank you! That means a lot :)

I really loved your game too. Rumsnuffle has so much character and charm and the gameplay was top notch. Brilliant!

Post your highscore here! Here's mine:

Thank you so much! We're so glad you enjoyed our game :)

If we continue the game's development once the jam is complete, we'll fix the slopes too!

This game is brilliant! A great interpretation of the theme, the art is incredible and the game as a whole feels like it could be played on a gameboy. The music is also very authentic to the gameboy's four sound channels. Great submission team :)

Thank you Bharlie! Glad you enjoyed it :)

A brilliant concept and a unique take on the theme! If there's one word I had to describe this game, it's 'charm'. I love the dogs animations and the burrowing mechanic reminds me of Mina the Hollower! It works perfectly as a platformer. There's a lot of polish here too - the addition of a tutorial level is a nice attention to detail. The only thing this game is missing is music! Other than that, excellent submission. Well done :)

The animations are really cool! But I was so focused on the arrows I didn't notice at first. Maybe try putting the arrows over the artwork so it's a little more cohesive? Otherwise, good submission.

The graphics are incredible. Love the art style and unique colour palette. Can't believe you have a dialogue system too! I think the map was a bit too big, as I ended up getting lost and didn't really know what to do without looking at the description on the webpage. Maybe a map could have been useful? Otherwise, great submission :)

Very unique concept. I like how you spun the No AI rule into a game about evil AI employees! My main suggestion would be to make the time it takes for the rooms to collapse much longer. You've got to go very fast otherwise :)
